I'm meeting up with friends again this weekend. Saturday afternoon & going out for lunch on Sunday. I find that evenings I'm too tired to be social, so I've turned into Afternoon Loocie. I guess I should fess up that parties for me have always been wild...as this picture proves. Looks like that was my 8th birthday. I still remember that dress & how much I loved it. I'm still really close to one of the young girls in the picture. LMB is one of the most generous ladies I have ever met. I am so fortunate to be surrounded by my lifelong friends. I can always turn to them when I need to vent.

I love those photos you're posting, Loocie...thanks for that...it gives a real insight into you, your family and friends...funny how some dresses just make such an impression on us that we keep such fond memories of them... My Mom sewed most of my clothes and they were always so beautiful, and I remember so many of them from the time I was young right up until we were married and she sewed my evening gowns...

Just so you know, I wasn't always a morning person. Maybe it was just a little bit of stress from the 1970's colours in our house? It seems rusty colours, orange & avocado green were the rage. This would have been in about 1974-1975ish. (I still have the little teapot that's in the middle of the the two larger ones). I've been putting together a family journal about my family & some of the stories I heard growing up.

I'm in Sudbury and I swear if we get more snow I'll slip between the mattresses and hide until the
crap is GONE!! It still looks like mid winter here!!
