Thinking of you today Silly Loocie I hope you have a good Easter.

It is true to say that Cancer sometimes wears you down in more ways than one,
It is always there with you & can be the *thing* that is ruining your fun,
Stiff upper lip & be positive & strong,
Wouldn't it be better if this incongruent would just move along?
Sometimes I find myself about 20 stops past being annoyed,
I am keeping my winning attitude up front & deployed,
One must let that the bad times be expressed to conjure up the good,
There are no rules about just how you should,
It always works out & the angst always passes into a better frame of mind,
It’s just that cancer sure isn't fair & so far from being kind.

Missing you in every aspect of the phrase is my personal realization,
That personal touch of yours continues to be something I strongly feel,
You kept so quiet & dignified, while you fought such a vile ordeal,
I am not sure why you kept it all inside, but I knew that was your choice,
There were only a few rare times when I could hear angst in your voice,
Your birthday celebration would have been a very quiet & low key,
No pictures allowed & also no scrolling on the birthday marquee,
Sue my dear you were so dear to me & you deserved so much credit,
Comparing both of our cancerous experiences, wished that we could edit,
They say that grieving & acceptance eventually fall into place,
It is a bit erratic as it does not necessarily keep a comforting pace,
Remember taking the boys to the movies & Marc getting lost at the zoo?
Legendary Christmas dinners, family time memories do accrue,
There was always reassurance as you really gave so very much,
Your sisterhood & friendship still have an impacting touch,
Your family will always miss your presence & I can honestly acclaim,
Life is a regular thing for us, but we’ll never be the same.

Hello SL! We're creeping towards spring here, but on Thursday morning as the mist was just hanging in the air, our local heron gracefully rose from the pond as I walked my dogs. My brother always thinks of herons as a sign our dad is near. It was so very peaceful and beautiful!

Thank you Mechman, Argo, Skippy, Nat, Honda, Avon for your posts. I have been having some not so nice days. My coping mechanisms seem to be failing me. The day to day stuff just gets to me. I can't always be upbeat & that is hard for some people to understand. I am also having some "family" problems.

I was surprised by Adam Sandler - wow that was certainly from his heart. The version Argo posted with that young guy - what a voice & what a talent. xx

I have so many things that I should be focusing on but it just doesn't seem to be coming together very well at the moment. I guess the household tasks will still be waiting for me if I give myself this emotional jag...
