Life does not always operate on the fair side of town. We often find ourselves facing obstacles that challenge & worry us. Many of the people I know with NF have such major issues, yet they inspire me to keep on plugging away. My sarcoma seems to be stable & my doctor told me that I am defying the odds. Those sneaky tumours are behaving themselves. It sure is a full time job fighting cancer.

Yesterday was World Neurofibromatosis Day. The CN Tower was lit up in green & blue (our colours) to promote awareness. We sure have a very long way to go. I hope that one day, people will just know that NF is out there.

Have I mentioned that I am going to try my very best & even a little bit better?
Do you know I believe absolutely no one should be included as cancer's debtor?
Can I also give a thumbs up to the people who are my comrades in this crusade?
Do you know I wish with all my heart, that we could organize an effective blockade?
Don't you agree that there is no fairness when it comes to *it’s* nasty fury?
Have I told you that it isn't easy to see my loving friends & family worry?
Do you know that all we can ever do is try to keep on rolling with the flow?
Do you realize that I still have dreams & places that I want to do?
Do you know that sometimes I feel cheated & blindsided with this cancerous assault?
Wouldn't it be nice if I could take *it’s* advances & seal them up in airtight vault?
Do you know that I do not like to drab nor do I want to be presumptuous or assuming?
But, can I please ask you to set your thoughts for me on positive swirling & blooming?

Preparing for tomorrow. It is good to be prepared & I guess that's why the Girl Guides & Boy Scouts have those two simple words as their motto. We tend to pack a lunch for my hospital days. I'm down there pretty much all day & we have a few nice spots where we like to eat lunch. The patio on the 16th floor is quite nice. Maybe I'll take some pictures tomorrow?

I can tell you that it gets expensive going down to Princess Margaret. Eating at Druxy's is quite expensive. We have better things to spend our money on. There are places where there is access to a microwave & kettle, so we can even bring our own tea with us.

So, my energy sure has it's moments of kicking in & operating right where I want it. Then it's just like somehow I have sprang a leak & it is leaving me & there is nothing I can do to prevent it.... I get so worn out.

This treatment is the hardest thing that I have ever done in my life. You realize that all those brave people who have made that commitment to fighting cancer must really understand how this gig works.
