Yesterday was my hospital Tuesday. It went quite & I am so pleased that they have changed my literary. I will only have to go downtown to Princess Margaret once a month instead of every 2 weeks. Isn't that just totally wonderful? The wear & tear on me will be lessened.
Still the same treatment (medications) that I take at home & the same procedures......we'll see how this goes. I will still have the CT scans every 2 months to keep an eye on the tumours in my lungs & in my pelvis. My scan results have been very favourable & if I we can keep these tumours on the behaving side of town, I will be successful at keeping it at bay.
I wish I wasn't so tired & some of the other side effects are not so nice (particularly the nausea). The fight is still motivating me to stay as active as possible.

Hello my friends, I had a fall yesterday or more of a splat. I feel on the sidewalk outside of my bank. The sidewalk was uneven & I got caught. There was no where to go but down. Not an official face plant, but I did go down on my front. Once I have fallen, it is difficult to get myself in a position where I can regain my balance & safely get up. Having a prosthesis on my right side & having half of my pelvis on the left side gone, it's already hard enough. But, I was able to get myself righted & with the assistance of my friend, I got up, seemed to feel alright & got on with my day. I am just a bit sore & I'm sure I have a bruise or 2, but I am OK. All about taking the wind out of your sails. A scary feeling when all of a sudden, you find yourself on the pavement.
I did have a nice breakfast & went poking around in a couple of stores, so my day wasn't all bad. Thank goodness my friend was with me to help me find my calm & remember what I learned in rehab.

I am feeling a bit sore & stiff today, but hey......no major issues or lingering complications.

Today I will be taking my drugs (dosing) & then again on Thursday as next week is my week off. It's almost like a holiday for me.

When things like “it” slither into our lives it is a wake up call,
I wish “it” was an app - which no power could ever install!

I had the most enjoyable weekend. It's been a long time since all of my gal friends have got together for one of our extended lunch afternoons. Jeepers we do have fun. So nice to be in the company of some of the finest Ladies you would ever want to meet. I ma blessed that my life is enriched in so many ways. Friends I've known since high school - how lucky can you get?
