CRA question - refund issued, not deposited yet

CRA show on the accounts tab that my return has been received. On the statement of account, it says refund issued Feb 21. Nothing in the bank this morning. Usually the CCTC, GST, etc are in right at midnight. Do they do deposits through the day? It just updated to this yesterday evening.

This is the timeline for another year when I physically mailed my return

For those who did a paper return ( not NETFILE or TELEFILE ) and mailed it in , like me , here is my time line...from some previous year

Feb 13 : Mailed my Tax Return by Canada Post ( cost me 2 stamps )

Feb 29 : Showing Received in my CRA- My Account

March 7 : Showing Assessed in my CRA -My Account

March 15 : Refund to be Direct Deposited in my bank Account

I have noticed in past years, that the assessed CRA return date is the same date that will show up on the notice of assessment in the mail almost a week to the date after.

Cannot explain the direct deposit scenario-like many of you, DD happens on day of assessment. Remember last summer's surprise lump sum for Ontario Trillium Benefit? The explanation came in the mail a week after the deposit and I did not know how it had been determined.

Nope. Mine has always been deposited the day it was assessed as well.

Just checked CRA site, and says it was deposited today, but no deposit shows as of yet . Hopefully by tonight.

Anyone have notice yet? I'm sort of hoping it happens overnight. That would be monday's deposit date.

Ottawa had a special weather warning yesterday while many places in Ontario had rainfall warnings. Plus downtown Ottawa had a sinkhole appear. The weather could have affected deposit transfers. Maybe Monday!

My return is not received. Guess PEI is a long way from Ontario.

tjthemanto, I am not worried about the money getting in the hubby's account because when it gets there it gets there, I was just worried that they thought we owed the Government money when we don't. Don't they take enough of that as is?

For those waiting on a refund who were told it would be deposited yesterday, I just spoke with Revenue Canada and found out some information. The glitch is still be worked on. Deposits will be the 28th, at the latest, but could be before. Hope so!

Thanks Kellyanna! That's good to know. A bit disappointing though not to have it on the assessment day. Oh well. Here's hoping Tuesday! Wish they'd put a notice on the myfile site.

I hope so too, I was counting on that, and because it said it was going in, I did some other things, so it kind of messed me up. Not working as much, so kind of messed up for the week, but Friday is not that long, and hopefully sooner!

I filed my taxes via turbo tax on the 18th of feb . On the 20th cra said my taxes were assessed and dd will be issued on the 21st of feb to my account. Nothing in my account I am really worried. Will the money come on Monday now?
