My husband, due to many reasons, had to leave his job a couple of weeks ago so he is now a stay at home dad while we figure things out. I have been working many overtime hours and holidays to provide the extra income needed for our family. My hubby has offered to grocery shop on several occasions as he has taken over all the other house hold chores. I have said no as I use a lot of price matching and coupons to make the best of our budget. Last night, after receiving my $1 off dempster bagels in the mail, my hubby said he was going to go to walmart. I quickly brought out the FreshCo flyer and asked if he could price match the bagels and hand over this coupon. He thought I was crazy but he said he would. He only called once from the store to confirm which type of bagel I wanted and he successfully completed the purchase himself!! I got 6 dempster bagels for 99cents ($1.99-$1 coupon).
I think he is good for one item purchases now, working on up to full couponer/pricemacher

There is something very special about a man that is willing to learn to price match/coupon. For certain you have a keeper. Best foreplay ever! lol.

That's great! My husband has been doing shopping lately and really doing well with using coupons!
He even found some on his own and used them for cat food this week, so I was impressed!

That's Awesome!!! I've got the hubbie to use coupons but he hasn't done the price matching just yet. He leaves that for me even when he's shopping with me lol. Oh the day he does that will make me very proud. Great brag I am sure your so proud of him. I remember price matching for the first time my heart was pounding but it's definitely worth it. Good job

Yeayyyyy for the great hubby.
I am also very proud of my hubby at using coupons. If we need somethings, he always ask me if we have coupons for those items. We are both good now. We dont want to pay for anything full price, ever again. He always brings me the inserts from work and for awhile he had to race for it with another lady. It was like a game and so funny at the same time.
I Thank you so much for sharing your great brag with us. It is nice, some times to realize that, yes our DH do play a big part in our couponning life. Better 2 to save $$$$ than just 1 or, doing couponning to try to save $$$$ and the other one spends all the money with out thinking. So, yes, thank you again for sharing such a great brag........

That's amazing. My husband makes fun of my Price Matching and couponing and would not do it.

Awesome brag. It takes small steps to coupon. Dh is learning and will give me coupons he finds. Granted it is coupons for things we would never use. Lol

A guy ahead of me at SDM today was using a coupon, but should have got SCOP on an item and didn't ask for it. I was too shy to tell him and the cashier that the item should be free So make sure you're teaching the men about SCOP too
