finally saw Captain Fantastic. ( Viggo Mortensen ) and must say great performances from all the various cast members. A sad
( but funny too ) love story about family. 9/10

I'm not sure if the Oscars were ever really about merit. If members don't watch every movie in every category, they should abstain from voting.

Dr strange. 10 only because I love Benedict Cumberbatch. Not a fan of the comic book movies, but this was good and the 16 yr old son watched it with us so extra points for family time

DH and I went to see Get Out and were lucky to even get a seat! That will teach us to straggle into the theatre mere minutes before it started. OMG, I mentioned somewhere in another thread how great it was, ( easily a 10 ) but just noticed on Rotten Tomatoes they got a 100% ( see reason for editing below ) ....out of 141, 140 liked and 1 disliked it....wow!! Go See it you'll lyao!!

I certainly enjoyed it more than Moana, which I'd give around a 6/10.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back - 6.5/10
Kind of slow for a Jack Reacher movie but it wasn't terrible.

Assassins Creed - 8/10
I quite liked it, apart from the ending, which I thought was a bit flat. I realise they left it open for a sequel, but there were better ways to end for the same result.
