The Heart is an Amazing Instrument...
It Holds Many Things; It is Strong and It can sometimes Break.

The Mind is InstruMental in Allowing us to Be Who we are... Individual.
It Haunts us by Remembering (and Forgetting) the Feelings in our Heart... the Happy and the Sad.

Time... The One Thing that no one has Control Over... is the One Thing that we must Rely Upon.
May this Anomaly called "Time" Provide the Healing that You Require so that Your Heart can be Whole again.

Rest Well, for Your Heart has a Healing Journey Ahead.

You will be in my Thoughts and in my Prayers.
    A Speedy Recovery.

I'm very sorry to hear about your experience Sun and Moon. Losing patients, especially at first, has got to be very very tough. When they are so young, it is especially tragic.
What I wanted to say (that others have already mentioned) is to take comfort in that patients know when the professionals caring for them truly care.

If it had been me. . .knowing I was dying . . and I looked into the face of someone who so obviously cares, I would have found great comfort. Never lose that empathy and compassion. It is a great gift to your patients.

I cant even imagine how hard it is to be a doctor/nurse. Not only the physical and mental demands but the emotional ones to. I am praying for you and wish you a fast recovery. I think the fact that you broke down like that shows how much you care and that is what patients need is doctors/nurses who care. You seem like a caring and compassionate person and that will make a great doctor. (((((HUGS)))))

I too add my prayers for you.
In the medical field, we all have gone through, at least to some degree, what you are now.
We know you care, you SHOULD care, that's what makes you who you are, and you're a better person for it.
Know that, believe that, and never lose that.
Have faith, and He will help you heal.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm a pharmacy technician and there are many times in my daily lives seeing patient meds cabinet or profile stating discharge. When I first started I thought discharge meant the pt get discharge and went home, but that not always the case. Most of the time it meant the patient had been passed away. I broke down many times and cry...I had to go through multi times a week to cope with the ordeal.

I hope things will get better and think of it that your patients are up in heaven and are at peace where they no longer suffering.

Hi there. If you suffered such a traumatic reaction to the death, I would suggest you consider a different profession. No offence but I don't think the medical community wants doctors who can't handle death.
I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

I disagree strongly. A doctor who is so wounded by death is a doctor who will value and fight for their patient's life.

Let me pose this to you.
A Dr. with a busy family practise has one of their patients die and is so traumatised that he/she needs to be sedated and take time off thus affecting the rest of the patients. Is that a Dr. you want looking after you? A Dr. is working the ER and an accident victim comes in, their life hanging in the balance. The on call Dr. is so traumatised by seeing this person on death's door and needs to be sedated because this situation is too much for him/her to deal wth. Is this a person you want to be looking after patients?
