haa ... didn't even notice the galas for .88 ... my purse is going to be very happy paying .59/lb less than usual. Why are gala's or apples so expensive? We consume 15-18 apples specifically gala's every week. Is that too much???????????

If an apple a day keeps the doctor away....15-18 are like an insurance policy?!? lol
It's nice to see cheaper prices... With the summer season here and the Fall coming up, they will only continue to drop. So no more $1.49+ a lb!

nice price on the Captain's Crew + $2 coupon from the Toronto Homeshow.Goo dprice on the Delission 2 pack. Hopefully same varieties as the ones on the coupon from the Walmart magazine. Love the orange juice tub an d88 cents frit and veggies from front page. Is Food Basics still always ou of stock on stuff? Far drive for us and don't want to be disappointed once we get there

They have an in-stock guarantee where if they don't have it in stock they will issue you a rain check plus a 10% off the advertised price. I don't know if they limit the quantity on the raincheck, they probably do.

I think they have gotten better at stocking. A couple of times they didn't have something on the shelf but when I asked, they had lots in the back.
I'm not sure if they have a quantity limit. I have rainchecked twice, the first store wrote down a quantity of 2 without asking me, the second (different store) rainchecked for 4 (asked me how many).
They wrote down the price with the 10% off right on the raincheck which made it hassle-free when I went back.

My only issue is the rainchecks were only good for 10 days, the last thing I want to do is prioritize my life around going back. Also, I wasn't clear if I could use it at another Food Basics store (I'm fairly close to two). But I like the policy, I know if I go for something it is more likely that they have it or at least I'm walking out with a good raincheck.
