Morning all....back yesterday from our extra long weekend, juts trying to recover some lost vacation time...
...it was kinda wet on and off, hubby managed to get all his little cottage bits and pieces done that had been hanging over him all summer, so he was happy...went to the Bracebridge farmer's market with the pooches, got some amazing peaches, wow, sooo good!!!....and butter tarts, hot pepperoni sticks, a spicy flavoured vinaigrette, some beautiful Muskoka chair marble coasters....kewl...
....anyway, thanks for all the words, etc....and AndiT, prayers have been dispatched for your friend....please keep us posted on how it goes....waiting and watching can be so stressful, so I am sending you some hugs..((((((AndiT))))))....TR

Okay, so the first cool day of summer.
Can't swim , boat , lay out in the sun... none of the important stuff.
So's I go out to look at the yard.
And guess what?
All those little gnomes , elves and leprechauns I bought
in the spring, did nothin' , nada , zilch.
What!
Do I pay all that money for them to just sit there.
I think not!!!
Off with their heads!!

I also received some bad news this morning.... my boss lost her father to a heart attack earlier this morning.... (My boss is like my mom to me)... not a good morning...

so sorry for your bosses loss. i'm sure she'll appreciate you just being there for her.

Critters know there's something wrong, so do my friend's roomies. I'm still waiting for word from the hospital. Guess I'm seeing how it is on the other side (I always felt guilty worrying folks when I got sick, but never truly realized how bad it was ).

Oh yeah she called... she misses me too allready!! yeah... She is loving he brand new dorm at Carleton U. It's not finished yet so they have no TV room or any extras but Frosh week is keeping her busy.... I allready have a "care package" ready to go.. Full of treats.. I'm so bad...... No strike for her though.
We started a skype thing once a week so I can see her and tell just by her eyes if she is behaving LOL..... Her cat likes to get infront of the web cam when she hears her voice!! soo funny, her roommate thinks it's too funny.
They grow up too fast!!!

it's been almost 2 weeks since my rodent left for the west coast. she's doing well. we email each other every day to stay in touch & called her on sunday to talk. maybe because she was away for a few years in college, it just feels the same. when christmas comes around, not sure how i will feel then, but she has to spread her wings at some point. hang in there maggie.
