I got my first cheque back from SnapSaves for $24 dollars this week and it was slated for diapers.
I waited until 9pm to go to the new Target store here in Barrie and it was still really busy!
I got:
3 x $2.99 Tropicana Farmstand (PM Metro) - 1 x $2 Today's Parent, 2 x $1 insert - 3 x $1 Tropicana Target coupon (Barrie location only) = $2
1 x $0.97 2L Pepsi (PM NF) = $1.10
1 x Free Grill'ems WUB4 Pepsico
2 x $1 Breyer's 500 ml Frozen Dessert - 2 x $1 Unilever coupon - $0
1 x $34.99 Huggies Biggest Box - $3 from Huggies box - $2 Target Coupon = $31.64
1 x $3.49 Huggies Wipes - $2 Kimberley-Clark call in - $1.50 Target Coupon = $0.26
I paid $35 OOP $24 of which was from the SnapSaves cheque.
I submitted for $4 from SnapSaves for the diapers and wipes.
Pretty pleased!
They also have Minigo on for $1.60 and a Barrie-only coupon for $1 so I hope to get in on that. They were sold out tonight.
On the whole, I don't find Target that much different than Walmart. The cashier was very nice and so was the front end manager. I read from some others that there was also a Target offer of buy 4 Pepsico get hot dogs free. When the cashier rang up the free Tropicana it cashed out the receipt. She rang everything else up on a separate receipt and honoured the coupon I had. I mentioned the Target offer to the manager who was doing the override on a coupon and she said they wouldn't allow 2 free items. Oh well.Last edited by theo44; Fri, Aug 1st, 2014 at 11:58 PM. Good shop! For many sc'ers target is all about the clearance deals. It will take a bit with a new store but once it starts the fun really begins. You will love it.

Great deals.
That was my first impression the first time I went to Target. But, since then, the clearance deals have me hooked. I can't stay away now, lol.

You did awesome.
Maybe next time if you have one of those double up deals that the computer decides like the hot dogs, let the cashier process those at the end of the receipt. One time at SDM I had a personalized coupon that made an item free. The cashier processed that item first, then hit total and the machine ended the transaction, whether we liked it or not. If you make sure there is some sort of $ to pay on the transaction, it may workApply every possible promo code to your cart, at every store that you visit (and get points for cash back on top of that?). It's sweet and easy with HONEY.

Glad to hear an experience about the store. According to my friend it actually opened quite a few days ago. i'm planning on going next week to see how everything is.

Good shop!
Your first impression is similar to many people. What I like about Target is the customer service. I have never had a bad experience since shopping there and that is very telling. Plus it is not as insane as Walmart so I can price match and get out of the store in under 30 minutes.

Great shopping! I have some issues here with the cashiers. They are quite picky. But I love that I can get in and out relatively quickly.
