Glad I seen this thread! I was just saying to my DH lastnight that I should find the tree house station for our DS, because right now he watches Disney Play house and it is changing on Friday to Disney Junior (I think that is what it is called), so I thought the shows may be too old for him. We will be sticking to Disney I think lol.

lol It was probably a new tech in training or something and just hit the wrong button. Kinda sad that I missed it. The one day I sleep in!

LOL I love that mental picture!
Agreed.

I know right! If I saw that I would have thought it was hilarious. I understand little kids probably wouldn't, but you can'y possibly shelter them from that stuff forever. And even if you do achieve that, that's going to lead to a lot of awkward situations & conversation in middle/high school!

I miss all the good stuff on Treehouse since it's no longer part of my package...
There were plenty of e-mail notifications for the forums but when I last checked there were no actual threads , probably due to the 100 post moderation limit they have over there.

I saw that one morning. My sons and I were just sitting there watching TreeHouse and all of a sudden they started playing a clip of The Ring. I was like "What the heck is this?" That is like the freakiest movie in the world and they put it on TreeHouse, of all stations! Kinda funny actually. But hopefully there were no tramatized kids from it.

Well, it happened again on Treehouse, this time airing a short bio on Kiefer Sutherland and featuring vampire movies.

I think Treehouse will be off my list of safe channels now.

Thank god DS doesn't watch the channel. We record only what he likes to watch on the PVR, then we put it on the next day, like his own customised channel

lol He actually cares?
Haha, DD seems to like EVERYTHING on Treehouse...I mean, she does have her favorites, shows that she'll sit still through an entire episode (Toopy and Binoo and In the Night Garden) but the others she only semi-watches.
I don't watch much TV, lately, so it basically stays on Treehouse all day. But she doesn't really watch it, she runs back and forth between her room and the livingroom, so she sometimes stops and watches for a minute, but then it's back to her room and her toys. (I've made her realize I like her room to be the playroom, she's too good to me! lol Less cleaning to do.)

I'd sooner have them accidentally show a clip/preview of a horror flick than purposly show the episode of ICarly where she's running around chasing her brother with scisors ever again. To a 6 year old I can explain "horror flicks aren't real" and don't watch them... better than why Carly was doing something dangerous and stupid, and they were all laughing. It pissed me off so much I wrote to the producers. The last thing I need is a re-enactment in my rec room.

Yes he does care lol. If I don't switch he brings the remote to me or try to do it himself!

Doesn't like Caillou, Toopy and Binoo, Diego.
Yes for Thomas, Wonderpets, Wiggles, and only the intro of some other programs. He likes musics and dancing.
Loves watching Bumba and Pocoyo (on another French channel) and Waybuloo (he even sings like the kids when it's yogo time lol)
DS is like your DD, play here and there, walk around, check the TV then back to his toys.
He also enjoys the Food channel
when grandma is watching, then he likes to watch grandma cook. Everytime he goes to the early years centre, he'll grab all the kitchen toys he can find and stay in the mini kitchen area

After watching our 3 year old goddaughter grow up on treehouse tv (and watching the shows ourselves), DH and I have learned to loathe it like the plague, so we've been adding tons of kids shows to our netflix list to keep for the baby when she's old enough (long way off, but we'd forget to add them if we didn't do it when we see them). We found Sesame Street, Babar, Berenstein Bears, plus the popular ones like Dora and such and some more that I've since forgotten ^^;

Treehouse is on pretty much 24/7 at our house. DS doesn't really watch it (he's too young) but it seems to calm him down.
I personally love Elmo's World. Makes me smile every time I see it. I HATE Calliou and so does my hubby. Stupid parents give that kid everything he wants. I also like My Big Big Friend. LOL. I'm so lame.
