Long Weekend Pink Sticker (50%) deals at Loblaws Group of Stores. YMMV

I love long weekends for deals.

Monday, most stores are closed.
Found pink sticker items at the Deli department at 5 PM
Also bakery, meat (30% off), produce, Dairy, frozen food section and carts at the front of the store.

Stores close at 11 PM in some places: Loblaws, Zehrs, Fortinos, RCSS, No Frills etc.

On Tuesday morning, there may be another round of pink sticker deals, 50% off or more.

I live in a college University City. I forgot all about this type of thing. Last summer before students were back. Last summer before school I went to freshco on a Wednesday after 6pm and the whole chickens that were on sale were reduced cost me max about $3.00 per chicken. Unfortunately I only had the fridge freezer.

@terry2144 -If I remember correctly, two years ago both Loblaws and Sobey's had student Tuesdays where 10% was deducted from their grocery bills. Must be nice to get the benefit of sticker deals because the city has many post-secondary school students.

I did see at rcss students get that discount on Tuesday as well.

I notice my Loblaws is not using the 50% off stickers any longer...they now have a red sticker that says special and they are changing the actual white price sticker..

@TorontoRaptors-here are the two threads we have on SC about student discounts at Loblaws and Sobeys(need Club Sobeys card with student ID). Cannot believe it all began in 2011 (thought it was 2012)-details/locations may have changed.
