What's Your Personalized Starbucks Offer?

Hate it when you have to take the time and effort to contact Starbucks customer service to get a reward or star they promised previously. These things should be done automatically. Plus the extra time to monitor whether Starbucks did what they were supposed to do anyways.

Wonder why that happens. Sometimes it happens to my bf and he needs to call in but never in my account(knock on wood - dont want to jinx it). 😀

Cheese and fruit is OK, but the Fall PB&J was ruined by the dip and wheat.

Can I redeem my free reward for items such as:

The fine print states: "Redeem your reward for any food item, with the exception of whole bakery loaves, trays and multipacks."

Are "trays" the same as these lunch boxes?

I got got the same one. But considering I had to contact them about my last 3 star dashes I'm not going to bother joining this one. (1st was I was supposed to get a 5$ ecard and they added the balance to my card, 2nd was when I got 2 star dashes at the same time I was missing 15 stars (I was supposed to get Oct. 1st) for making 5 purchases (they did add the 15 stars but I had to contact them twice as Customer service only added 6 stars at first and they had to add the other 9), 3rd is the other star dash I got at the same time and I was supposed to get 5 stars (I was supposed to get them Oct. 4th) for making 3 purchases using the app.

I saw a free True North coffee offer for two days this week (Oct. 27-28). Had it been a chai latte, I'd have zipped out so fast!

The free tall offer comes along about every 3 or 4 years if you are lucky. Really cheapo way to treat Starbucks cardholders.

I'm not sure what annoys me more, the fact that the free coffee offer is so random and so infrequently offered, or that it only lasts about 2 days when it does show up, so that it's really easy to miss out on.

The Starbucks "personalized offers" annoy me more than anything now.
Instead of feeling I'm part of an elite club, I feel like my time and attention are being played with in a really obnoxious manner. Instead of "you are special to us, so enjoy this free coffee", the message is "hurry up and jump like a monkey because this random code showed up without warning & no one else you know got it so you won't be told". Plus the code expires really fast, even though we could have made it last for a week or two.

Starbucks has left a bad taste in my mouth. Again. Sorry for the rant, all.

At least some of you still GET personal offers. I get nothing. Nada. Zip. I have contacted them a few times to inquire why - I've got the little box checked - but they just shrug it off "Oh well everyone gets different offers, there is nothing we can do"

I'd rather get nothing if all I get sent are annoying personalized offers (e.g., severely time limited, or odd stuff I would never get.)

I find it vaguely creepy the whole concept of personalized offers in general. Like one person gets a treat but the other does not, for no particular reason except that some sociopathic marketer enjoys manipulating people. It's game playing on a grand scale on Starbucks part.

Imagine if every card holder received one free tall brewed coffee or tea loaded onto their card for the month of December as a Christmas present from Starbucks: think of the positive PR that sort of thing would get for the company. Technically, they could easily do it too.

I keep getting the buy three of the following and get x number of points. Problem is every time cold coffee is one of three I need to buy. They can see my purchase to the beginning of time and no I don't drink my coffee cold. Even if it was free I would still skip it blech..now I did take advantage of the bonus star for using the preorder option. I barely had to break my stride walking to work today.
