I decided to go to pick up a few things from this weeks flyers before the sales end (dh was at work and doesnt get home till around 10pm). we usually all go together or dh goes alone as it can be difficult to take ds out shopping alone (hes 2 and we use the stoller to pack up the groceries so cant push a cart and the stroller alone.)
anyway i started off going to walmart where i put a basket on my arm while i pushed ds in the stroller. while there we got
Walmart
12* jars of heinz toddler foods (his favorite ones are the chicken rice and the chicken vegetable but we also got him some beef vegetable some pork
vegetable ones. also a few fruits) 0.98$ each
2*1L chocolate milks 1.66$ each
2*minigo for 2.87 each
2*2 packs of pizza pops 1$ each
so total was 22.82
next we went to McDonald where i got a 6 piece nugget meal with a coupon for 5.07$ with tax (had a coupon for a meal for 4.49) the best part was the cashier rang in the coupon but told me i could keep it. dont know if i'll use it before it expires but nice to have the option lol.
then off to sobeys where i got 2 big bags of cookies
Sobeys
chips ahoy cookies 4.99
oreo cookies free
it was a b1g1 sale...
total 4.99$ (thought there would be tax on cookies but i guess not lol)
then stopped at superstore on the way home.
Superstore
4* heinz todler food (all fruit since walmart didnt have a good selection of fruits there and i wanted ds to have more than just blueberries) 0.99$ each
2*polly pocket accessory toys 0.22$ each (they were marked on the shelf as 0.44$ each on clearance but scanned up as 0.74$. i pointed it out and they gave me one free and charged 0.44$ for the 2nd one. i could have had them both free as they were different upc codes but didnt want to bother with the hassle. they are an x-mas for a friends kid)
1*Kandoo foamy hand soap (2.99$ -1.00$ coupon) =1.99$
1*box of hamburger helper 2.69
1*pack of lean ground beef (8.47-3$ wyb hamburger helper so still saved 0.31 cents more than i would have spent without buying the hamburger helper) =5.47$
1*box of old el paso soft taco kit (with the coupon for free cheese in it) 3.99$
1*kraft shredded cheese 380g (5.99$-6.00$ coupon for cheese wyb taco kit... the coupon states you get a small bag free or 6$ off a big bag. they gave me the full 6$) =+0.01 made
and bought a 10$ farmville card at zellers. farmville has a one day only sale with 40% off farmcash and it includes the game cards (you get 40% extra farmcash with the card instead of paying 40% less and also get a free game dart. so i got 92 farmcash instead of 55 and got a mystery dart free

i should add that despite a few little whines ds was a really good boy. he ate a few of my fries and had half of one of my nuggets. he got a free cookie at sobeys (which is what reminded me dh wanted some more of the b1g1 cookies lol) and he had a nap after he finished his cookie. he usually whines a lot because he wants out of his stroller to walk around but like i posted before it was just me and him so i couldnt let him out.

Great shopping, Francine!!!
Glad to hear your DS was a good boy, too! Mine was always a good shopper, until lately....
They are about the same age....

Hmmm, I remember shopping with 5 kids, OMG

yep ages 1 through 17, and was very grateful for the older ones
Considering you had DS in tow, you did fabulous to make all the stops you did. Great shopping! We all need a little sunshine every now and then
