Thread: SDM Redemption Day Brag

DD was in charge of keeping a running total to get to $210. We got to 210.30 so we went to the beauty counter to pay because that's where most of her stuff was held while we did more shopping around the store. The receipt came to 211.30 plus tax. In the car, DD studied the receipt and says, "How did I miscalculate and be off by one dollar?" She bought a perfume with a sticker price of $59 but scans at $60. SCOP! Back to the store with the perfume and receipt. There were 3 cosmeticians there and all three of them told us that we only get back $10 and not $11. They even showed us the policy in French and insisted it's only $10. DD is bilingual and had to point out to them that the price has to be corrected to the marked price of $59 and then $10 off. So we got back $11 on a GC.
In Quebec, we cannot redeem for medicinal items, so I told DD to use the $11 GC to buy a large bottle of Life brand ibuprofen. This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug Mart

I have yet to get an actual SCOP...seems no one knows what to do around me. Shoppers memory foam slippers rang in at 24.99 and I told her they were only 22.99 she had someone check and then changed the price, but no SCOP. I even mentioned this so she could hear me....seriously, cashiers should do their job and know the policy. I shouldn't have to explain it to her.

Edited to say,
We paid tax on $60 ($9), and it should have been $49(7.35)
SDM owed us 1.65, I wasn't thinking then, was only focusing on SCOP. Oh well, we'll know for next time.
