Local Target parking lot was half-repaved in Nov/Dec in my area too, sweetsparrow. Could have been a property management deal or maybe there was another reason.

Glad that Target is offering the 16 weeks' pay/benefits because the liquidators will likely be making decisions about staffing/store hours after the liquidators get a sense of what's where and how long each location will get. It won't surprise me if some stores close earlier if stock gets consolidated at major centres to expedite the likelihood of getting more customers in the doors.

If you have cellphone cameras, take your selcas/selfies of yourselves at Target, the best retail shopping experience that is soon to leave us.

He has a point-I recall in 2013 there was a bedding/bath chain that went through this process and at some point the stores would not allow gift cards to be used as payment for purchases. YMMV.

I have only today and tomorrow to go to Target and it's a long drive and I have so much to do before I leave.

Will you honor gift cards?
Target Canada will continue to accept gift cards through the liquidation period. U.S. Target stores have never accepted Target Canada gift cards. That will not change

When will merchandise be marked down?

Avoiding a store because they don't allow Sally Ann is nuts. I never see Sally Ann inside Sears or Bay - yet people shop there.....and I find the bell ringing gives me a headache (because of a medical condition I need to avoid loud noises, shouting, etc)

and here i was told.. that the sally ann kettles were allowed to be outside of target.. BUT they chose not to! because all targets are located outside a mall and the mall entrance was a more popular high trafficked place to be

the starbucks employees can easily be transferred to another location (most towns with a target i'm sure have multiple starbucks) where target employees are trained for target..

The bankrupcy is in the courts now. I guess it depends on how long the court process takes, before the first stores close.
