Right place at the right time - I won at Loblaws!

So, I had to drop my son off for a birthday party downtown, and then I had 2.5 hours to wait before I could pick him up and drive home. There was a Loblaws near the party, so I thought I'd go there to look for some deals, because honestly, I prefer No Frills prices and rarely shop at Loblaws.

There was a Danone display set up near the back of the store. It included 4 video-game type units and the sales lady was there to help us with the giant yogurt machines . I stepped up to the unit and it asked me a few questions about yogurt. At the end, I had to spin the wheel on the computerized screen for a prize. I think they were $1 coupons, family getaway, and $50 gift card.

No, I didn't win big with my spin. It just spit out a $1 coupon.

But then........

The sales lady walks over with a non-uniformed guy who I thought was a sales manager or something. He asked me if I'd ever tried the yogurt, and I told him that my kids loved the yogurt drinks. Then he smiled and said, "have you ever heard of the game, Let's Make A Deal?".

Of course I had heard of that game! And did I want to play? Sure! Why not!

So he pulled out a little envelope and asked, "do you want to keep your $1 coupon, or trade it for what's in my secret envelope?"

Well, being a smart Canuck, I knew that I could find other coupons, and that little envelope was appealing! So I chose to trade for the envelope. He said, "congratulations! You've just won a $50 PC gift card"

I couldn't believe it. I was excited to get the $1 coupon, and then he hands me $50! Amazing! Plus, he let me keep the coupon too!

A small blessing that made my day!
