We're doing bags of chips, mini chocolate bars, Tootsie pops, and assorted candies - so far!
The weather should be pretty decent this year, so we would probably go back to our average of about 75 kids or so. If it's cold/rainy/snowy, that will get cut by half, but our forecast is good.

I only get about 16 kids or so, not a popular area but I made up 2 dozen treat bags. they have flavoured suckers, halloween fridge magnets, spooky stickers, a ghost or skeleton milk chocolate and a spider or bat ring. It was all really cheaply done so I'm happy.

Not likely, but if I run out of treat bags I will have extra suckers and mini-chocolate bars on hand.

We live in an apartment building but we are donating a bag of candy and a box of chips to the super (he and his wife will be handing out candy in the lobby)

Our condo doesn't do Halloween for the kids (which upsets me) so we go to one of my DD's, they go out with our grandson and we hold down the fort. This year we have made up a bunch of goodie bags. They have Delmonte fruit snacks and juice boxes, a bag of popcorn twists, a few double bubble gums and a small chocolate bar. We have about 75 bags, hopefully thats enough. If it's not, the rest will just get the leftover candy (which is probably a good thing)
We all need a little sunshine every now and then

Well I am not sure if " Grinch " is the word I should use, but I am not giving out treats this year.

Since Halloween lands on a Monday that sucks for me ( worst work day, exhausting ). I have blown the budget a bit with some unexpected expenses, so buying candy and doing up pumpkins and the other decor ( which btw I have done every year for some time ) for some kids that might or might not show up ( some years we have 10, other years 100 or more )
Third excuse, DH is at work during this night time event so I will not have any help ( again, that is nothing new )

Almost forgot the last reason......the dogs go freaking crazy, barking with every " ding dong " of the bell.
So sorry to the kiddies, but this year we are Pumpkin Poopers!!

I've always been curious as to what age you stop giving out the candy to???

I know I've had some CLEARLY 18 year olds knock on my door before, still gave them candy though. They did have costumes on and said trick or treat LOL

    Perhaps I'm being to nice?

I make the older kids dance or sing. My favorite song ? ' I'm a little tea pot ' or this other song, I can't remember. I kept it on my IPod and put it on the speakers.

    Our condo doesn't do halloweeny

our condo gets no kids BUT we did do up a pumpkin (trip to the pumpkin patch for toodles, carved it all up... Dora!, she's very proud of it!), the only kids we have in the building is a teenager in her late teens and toodles
