Does it matter if you redeem points during the year, for plus membership? You don't have to keep all your points for the year, is what I'm trying to say (I thinki, lol!).

No you don't need to keep your points. They keep track of how much you have spent during the year so they know when you reach the point threshold.
Just joined Kiva.org, an organization that funds micro-loans to people in developing countries. I love the idea that the $25 I saved in groceries can be given to a fish woman with 5 children in the Philippines to help grow her business.

For me I don't find ay advantages to being a plus member since they changed the program last year on Canada Day. I was mad at first and didn't shop at sSDM for months but I came to realize that the deals and points redemption was still pretty decent.
