I went to a breast cancer fundraiser - all the clothes were $2. I found a beautiful jacket and top (for Christmas party) spending just $4. Now that I know about this will be prepared for next year as it is an annual thing.

Instead of grabbing fast food for lunch, I came home and heated up some home-made soup. It became supper as well- for 3!
For a treat I thawed out a coffee cake that I had bought from the 50% off rack at Loblaws before in Sept. It was VERY yummy and 1/2 left over for "tea" tomorrow.

October was another month of packing my lunch everyday. I am surprised at how easy this has become.

I did not go shopping for Boxing Day sales. We also did not go overboard on Christmas. Two presents that we gave were $25gc that I purchased from Pampers.ca with points when the items were on clearance. They were great gift cards that were well appreciated.
Today I had a friend offer to buy me a Sunday from DQ, but he is buying me green grapes from the grocery store instead. He thought my healthy suggestion was funny, but he figured it would cost him the same amount of money, so why not. Win for my family, free fresh grapes and less junk food...we have enough of that.Last edited by Angela273; Thu, Dec 29th, 2016 at 11:27 PM. Reason: fixed auto correct errors

Saved the pickle juice in just emptied jar and filled it with sliced carrots, put it in the fridge so I should have pickled carrots for salads and such in about a week or two.

I put together over the last couple of days all of the things we have purchased and did not end up using. I will do a run Saturday morning and after stopping at 3 stores I will get back just over 80 dollars.

I stayed out of stores today. If the wind had not blown snow around, I might have detoured into a store. However, I was eager to read the sales flyers in the community newspaper bundle today-making a list, checking it twice, Ciel does not want a fiscal surprise. . .

DH brought our bundle of new flyers in from the deck, later on he asked me if I went through them to see what's on special.
I told him there was no point in even looking at them, we have SO MUCH still in the house....no shopping is necessary this week.
That should save some money.

I resisted the urge to buy some grocery items that I don't really need any more of at this time just because I had some coupons for them expiring on Dec 31 and also a pcplus offer.
