I saw a post for 5 free 8x10 shelf brackets on our local buy & sell and got them for DH as he is planning on putting some shelves up in the shed. I also picked up some free books for me.

I saved the cleaning lady fee today as for some reason she was a no show.

Picked up 2 bags of tomatoes from a friend's garden. Now to process them and freeze them so I can use them when there's snow in that garden!

Last week I skipped my weekly trip to Costco. I probably saved over $100. On things I don't really need.

Accepted free from the neighbor yesterday...a jar of homemade zucchini relish and a head of garlic as I gave her a lead on a food processor. The relish is yummy but I think I will pass off the garlic to someone who will use it.

Yesterday I didn't leave our yard. Picked some vegetables from the garden too.

Our public health nurse has brought us 10x 20ct newborn diapers & 10x 18ct wipes for our twins because Pampers sent our local hospital way too much. Our twins are both about 6lbs each right now, so newborn diapers are still needed.

I cut the tube of my face wash cream to get the remaining that doesn't squeeze out. I got an additional 10 days of application. Once I got 3 extra weeks of face cream from a tube that I cut apart

In the spirit of @super_e posting ^^ I sort of did the same

for my budget last week I managed to have $60.00 still unused ( of the $150.00 allotted ) for the grocery portion. However, that number does includes non food items too, but I was just really picky about what we actually " needed " . Freezer/fridge and cupboards were my store of choice! ha ha

I took lunch to work 4/5 days this week and that is a huge accomplishment for me. I was having a crap day at work so I went to mc Donald's and treated myself to coffee. Free with a full card.

Free lunch for DH and I at McDonald's yesterday on our way to Guelph as I used a GC that I won. Free parking at the Rehab Center when we visited my dad as we got stuck in the parking lot and an older swiped his card to let us out. So nice of him so we saved $6.00.

We took a different route home which was nice until we stopped in at Picard's Peanuts and went a little nuts (pardon the pun). We basically spent what we saved but we haven't been there in over 10 years so we really enjoy these treats even though we could have saved more except we stopped .
