Well yes sometimes the essentials can be boring. lol
This week's trip included
Maxi(for my donation project)
28 x vintage Corn Flakes clearance .50 cents each $14
IGA
4 cans Nestea .99 after coupon
Metro - $9.99
4/$5 veggies (beets, carrots, turnips)
Marocs $4.99 (not great but kids love em)
Sami Fruits - $25.49
all the rest in the pic. plus the 3L sunflower oil and pita bread
Entrepot de Viandes (The Meat Warehouse, lol) - $72
12lb box of boneless skinless air dried chicken breasts
2 x ribs
1 pkg. pork shoulder marinated in BBQ spices
This will be enough for the 6 of us for 2 weeks of meals along with some of the other veggies I have stored in the garage. Tis the season of root veggies! I am also trying to use up my Artic garden rice and veggies stockpile.
Last but not least I made dill pickles and bread and butter pickles a few weeks back but figured I would throw them into this brag. I got a $40 box which had 50lbs of #1 cukes and it made all these 1.5 litre jars and 1 litre jars.

The pickles look delicious!!

I really need to get myself to Sami Fruit between your brag and 2010ontest's, clearly I'm missing out on great produce deals. I know you told me about it ages ago - but yet I still haven't gone!"You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi

Excellent, Patty.
Were those corn flakes close to expiry? I never saw that limited edition one here. I can't believe you got them for 50 cents each.
We have LD and stacking here, but I would gladly trade for your Sami and other grocery places with the great prices...there's only so much toiletries a person needs, but you''ll always need food!Last edited by marstec; Fri, Nov 4th, 2011 at 04:20 PM. Reason: typo

For example
Bananas .39 lb every week
Peppers usually below $1 lb
celery .79
melons were 3 for $5
my Sunflower oil was $5!!
tomatoes .79 lb
strawberries 3/$5
blackberries/raspberries $1
bean sprouts $1
they also have packages of "ripe" stuff like the zucchini package I bought was $1.50, quite often i will buy ripe stuff and make soups
and these were just things i noticed but didn't buy them you can also end up buying too much because the prices are so good and then you have too much waste.,

Great shopping. When you mentioned the Nestea being .99 cents I assumed it was for the frozen can. Can't believe you got the canister for that!!!!! WOW!!!
Love the pickles too.http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/PinkSapphire. Click to get FREE Giftcards just for searching the web. It is so easy.
