Thread: Missing Cat-Help :(

Hi Everyone,
While I was home visiting my family my husband didnt latch our screen door correctly and all three cats got out. He managed to get two bak, but our most timid kitty is still missing. She's been gone two weeks now. We have live traps that we are using to try and catch her. Looking for any hints, tips for anyone who's ever tried to find a lost timid kitty. We haven't seen her in a week so I'm starting to get very worried. My kitties are my fur babies and I was devastated when I found out she was missing.
We have posted on Kijiji, facebook groups, called the SPCA.
Any tips would be appreciated. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

oh wimbly what a nightmare for you!! I am so glad 2 of the 3 are back safe and sound, and I just pray someone finds the last one and turns it in. You have done plenty, did you also hang flyers with a pic of your baby on the neighbourhood posts? That might make a difference.

So sorry to hear about your missing kitty. If you have any pics of her, make up a flyer and post in your area. I've known this to work for a few people. Once a neighbour got their cat back after a month of him missing, and he was several miles away, but someone saw him and let them know.
I've got my fingers crossed for you that you get her back ♥

Glad two are back - and just so you know, there is lots of hope for the other one to come back, too - we had a kitty come back after three weeks.
I don't know where you live if you can do this - but we were in the city and did this - I put a t-shirt (worn) of mine outside at the front stairs tied to the bottom of the banister on one side, and also one in the backyard. Scent is a powerful thing, and it worked - he was back in two days!
Fingers crossed!

Sam is home Thank you everyone for your tips and positive thoughts!
She was gone two and a half weeks. Tuesday night when I went outside to check the traps she was by the BBQ. We couldn't catch her but she went into a trap later that night! She is safe and sound. She even snuggled me yesterday purring loudly which is a rare occurrence. We are overjoyed!
