Good luck to those that qualify. however not many people beside @momof5boys have a household of 7 or have 5 kids living with them at the present time.

    OESP credit amounts
LEVEL OF HOUSEHOLD INCOME ($) NUMBER OF PEOPLE LIVING IN HOME
    1 2 3 4 5 6 7
    Less than 28,000 $30 $30 $34 $38 $42 $50 $50
    28,001 - 39,000 $30 $34 $38 $42 $50
    39,001 - 48,000 $30 $34 $38
    48,001 - 52,000 $30

What I find most appauling about this is the senior/aging population that most likely won't benefit because they are only 2 in a household or sadly 1 per household.

And sadly we don't qualify as we are only a household of 4....what a load baloney

@sweet sparrow - we used to give our son just barely warm weak tea, with honey dissolved in it.

Hoping the humidifier works - we always used cool mist, and it was very helpful for a little one with coughing.

sharing this post courtesy @Ciel from another thread....for those that have TD aeroplan cc

TD Aeroplan changes that Ellen Roseman wrote about earlier this month:

Seems cardholders can only book through Expedia and your points can lose value mid-November...

Honey is fantastic. I have medi honey for wounds n cuts because I get bad infections and heal slowly. ..the medi honey helps the infections and speeds healing way better than antibiotics.

Had lunch today with a few friends that I hadn`t seen for over a year. Had a nice time catching up.
Then I went and voted. Wasn`t sure what ID I would have to show because I didn`t get a card for some reason. My driver`s license was all I needed. I was in and out in 5 minutes.

Nice that you got out and relaxed for a few hours with friends. A nice break from your business (crocheting).

Apparently Ft. Lauderdale has never heard of the Blue Jays and Canada is having an election? I thought the queen ruled Canada! No sign of any coverage of either thing! Argh!

Ah, can't do the alcohol thing any more! Boo Hoo!

We had some GREAT Chinese Food with fresh fruit for a follow-up. Very nice!

Hit one of my favourite shopping spots today and got some awesome deals - and it was Senior' s Day - so another 15% off their lowest discount price.

They are warning people about rip currents and winds are really strong.

DH has been done in by the last 24 hours. He's gone to bed. So glad we are staying here another day!

    Take care everyone!

I don't think I could trust LO for 8 hours with a safety pin. Her little fingers are quite nimble and I never know what she's going to get into next. Plus, daycare has encouraged her to sleep on her stomach so I'm sure if it was a pouch, she'd be sleeping on it and if it was on her face, it would get rubbed into the blankets quickly. Maybe she would still be able to smell it though. Is Vicks Vapour rub okay to use on two year olds? I think that would really help with her congestion.

Cough syrup is the worst tasting sugar I've ever had in my life. I'm on Buckley's right now but I don't think any more sugar could improve the taste. I'd hate to think what it tastes like if it had no sugar at all.

Crazy vent to follow - skip to the *** to avoid the drama.

DH has had US expenses on the credit card from his workplace for the longest time. I've finally gotten through to him that US amounts are much different than the Canadian dollar reality that actually gets charged to the card. He assumes that his company automatically has their own conversion rate and I told him he should find out. I'm fairly sure no one is watching that closely to make sure that the currencies are correct, especially when you write cheques for over $1,000. I'll have to trace back the amounts and block out all our personal information to get the money back.

Unfortunately, the person who handles the reimbursements has taken leave because she's gone blind. This company goes through employees like kleenex. It's always someone new handling the accounts and it drives me bonkers that sometimes, things just slip through the cracks when the person is on leave. No one takes over the emails or requests, and no one responds that the person is away. I'm annoyed that I have to babysit this US company, whom I don't work for, but if I don't, I could lose out on thousands that our family needs. AAAARRRGGHH!! DH's workplace drives....me....bonkers....

On one hand, I feel terrible for the lady that's gone blind, but this sort of thing happens all the time. If it's not going blind, it's a car accident, or it's some reason why the employee can't work every few months. This job must have a curse on it or employees have a creative way of getting benefits there without working. It's getting hard to believe after ten years of this!

Thank you all for letting me vent. I'm much better now.

***Our riding is now Liberal for the first time in many years. It used to be a Conservative stronghold, but I guess Mr. Harper has put off too many people here. I'm curious as to how much Mr. Trudeau will put back in our pockets at the end of the year, but I'm also afraid of the debt that he's going to put Canada through in the next few years.

@sweet sparrow vent away we all have our days and times. Sorry to hear about your dh's workplace etc and sad to hear the lady has gone blind, how terrible.

Not getting into politics as I don't want to upset anyone BUT I hope that the middle class truly does benefit from the Liberals majority.

We'll all have to sit tight and see what the future holds for everyone.

@sweet sparrow there is a Vicks vapor rub baby rub. I use that on my children it has eucalyptus in it which is more gentle for younger users. Also saline solutions are good for the nose, I picked up a few on clearance at shoppers drug Mart. Think of an aspirator filled with solution that you pump up the nose. It's kind of like a simple Netti pot. And I swear by my Netti pot for me. Some of my friends swear by Hydra sense.

Morning! Sun is shining but I see a dark sky too so thinking it may rain. Good day to be stuck in the office. Cleaned up the budget today. Had to pay my MasterCard after my Costco visit on the weekend. Bought English muffins, carbon monoxide detectors. Fun stuff lol. I have a meeting tonight, oldest works, my man has a meeting so just little one and I for dinner. Jays game will be started during my meeting so will have to see what we can whip up quick for dinner so we can watch game. I have had Chinese on the brain but with a freezer full of food I can't justify it! Soon!

@Granger : Are saline solutions recommended when the nose is congested? I'll have to check if they're on clearance at my SDM too! Were they in the clearance section or just on the shelves?

I also bought a CO detector from Costco this weekend! Well...my sister picked it up, but we shall pay her back!

Getting excited for Christmas! The stockings are hung and the Christmas cards arrived yesterday. We received a free bundle in the mail from Sunnybrook Hospital and Heart and Stroke, I think. They even come with the pen and address stickers. I think I'll take them into work and do them over lunch. I'll have to take some time to visit the basement to see if I can find those lights I used to have....
