@ Sweet Sparrow Cough syrups, etc are not approved for use on young children, I think under 6yrs of age. I know how it sucks to have young children and nothing to offer for their symptoms. You could try and see if she would drink honey water. It could help her cough some. Our son doesn't like it. Here's hoping she improves soon.

@Angela273 : Thank you! We've tried two of her inhalers and we'll be setting up a humidifier in the bedroom to try and help. She's just coughing so hard and it's difficult to have her live with it while adults have syrups, lozenges, teas, and other remedies.
What about a (small) spoonful of straight honey? We have manuka honey, which is supposed to have medicinal properties.

Do you give your son honey water at a warm temperature?

Yesterday, I visited Turner Park library to see the movie, Furious 7. Kind of disappointed-more brawn than car stories. Interesting ending. When I was at the Mount Hamilton cemetery (checking to see if the tulip bulbs might have started growing since late Sept planting at gravesite) before the movie, powder snow fell from the sky briefly three times-so those clouds did bring the snow.

Found 5 Monopoly stickers (on 2 McDonald's drink cups plus one loose sticker on ground). The first four stickers from Friday (also found) included one for a Snapfish photo mug. Two step process to get the prize: once on McDonald's site then next one on Snapfish site (will do it later this week). How fun is it to see that to get the $10000 prize, one needs both the Niagara Falls sticker (have) and the Fairmont Chateau Laurier sticker (on search for it) to submit a prize claim? It's also a hoot to see the brown properties are called Parliament Hill and Rideau Canal-worth $100!

@sweet sparrow could you apply vicks vapour rub on her? Also when we were little my grandma used to sew a small pouch and inside was a small piece of kamfur (spelling unsure) but you can still purchase at pharmacy it's basically the same things as vicks vapour rub put you don't rub in it's just in a pouch pinned on your clothes helps with breathing. good luck

Cough syrup is just sugar anyway. I rarely gave it to my kids. Warm face cloth on the head and chest seem to help them and make them feel better. And popsicles!!

Good luck to those that qualify. however not many people beside @momof5boys have a household of 7 or have 5 kids living with them at the present time.

Hubby won employee of the month award (company has 400+ employees). His department joked and told him that now he has to buy them donuts. I'm baking cinnamon buns today and taking it to his department (12 employees or so)....more frugal and better tasting than donuts

Yes, I warm it up a bit to dissolve the honey.

-well my brother didn't call me to take him to an appt-maybe he got his son -that's good cause with only 4 hours sleep was tired
-son dropped in with "ashlyn" they had lunch here -she loved playing in the leaves outside

then off to vote and it was at the seniors centre where my mom used to go to so I stopped and chatted with the ladies that knew my mom -they said they miss her vibrant spirit-ahhh
then popped into shoppers spent a little more than I wanted but needed a lot of stuff
