@Shwa Girl - I saw this article on self-checkouts in the UK and design issues/ergonomics contribute to cashback funds left in dispensers. How much "other money" got left behind?
But shortcomings in the design of many a checkout are also leaving us shortchanged: ergonomic issues include poor placement of the cash dispenser (inconveniently situated beside your knee-cap) and the fact that cashback is issued only after the receipt, and emerges from a different area of the machine. This confounds many a shopper and results in as much as £2.5m a year being left in self-service dispensers.
With the Euro exchange rate at about $1.46 Cdn, that sum is about $3.67M Cdn. Lots of money for an SC group Hawaiian vacation.Last edited by Ciel; Sun, Sep 3rd, 2017 at 11:58 AM.

Cashed out 42,000 pts from RBC MasterCard for $300 worth of SDM cards. Now to spend them when I have 20x points offers so will work out to roughly $600 of products at SDM (only sale items for me tho)
Also cashed out points for $120 at No Frills for groceries this week.
