Am rather delighted at 2016's numbers. Have to ensure I put them into my 2017 planner for comparison purposes at the end of 2017.

Totals are for May-December 2016 unless I had paper records to fill in for the missing months (I had deleted my budget file in May).
    SCOP $5
Coupons used in 2016-$107.98 (Jan, Feb and Nov were peak months)
2016 deposit refunds, found money, small lotto wins under $20-$207.51 (WOW)

    Air Miles $60 (4x$10 and 1X$20)
    Shoppers Optimum redemption $10
    PC Plus redemption $20
Lottery wins over $20-$100 (great way to start off Canada Day weekend)
Cdn Tire money-65 cents (think that is off by 40 cents)
Longos TYR gift card & cash bonus-$15
Longos TYR free hot choc in late Nov/Dec -5@$3.90=$19.50
    McDonald's free hot choc 5 @ $3.27=$16.35
    *grand tally is $561.99 (heehee)

I received a rebate cheque for 9.20 from last years finish promo. one of my 2016 goals was to take advantage of as many MIR as I could, but only for stuff I would use so no candles or AirWick. I received 122.00 last year and hope to do the same this year so I am off to a good start.

You guys are all so inspiring! This year I'm keeping track of my PM coupon and rebate savings. I'm going to cash out all my PC points for gift cards and put them away for Xmas give them to my parents (both retired and they host Xmas dinner for friends and family so it's an expensive production) and I'm tracking money earned from shoppers points and online sales. Also tracking the retail value and my price for donations

I'm already over $400 in PM, coupons and rebate savings and we're only half way through Jan. Mind blown!

Decided to try to figure out roughly how much I was able to save in 2016...

    PC Plus Credit (ACTUAL): $240.00
    PC Plus Scan (ACTUAL): $200.00
PC Plus Dad's (ACTUAL): $20.00 - Ended up getting him a whole bunch of points on his card with my purchases, asked for a little bit back, got $20.00 in GC
    Air Miles (ACTUAL): $30.00
Christmas Donation (APPROX.): $450.00 RETAIL - $25.00 OOP = $425.00 SAVINGS - $38.00 (To account for CO51 & PC Plus Savings) = $387.00 (Another thank you to @Big Pink for her contribution to the donation)
    CO51 Mine (ACTUAL): $181.75
    CO51 Mom's (ACTUAL): $89.50
Estimated Savings on Groceries while in school: $200.00/month (Average student grocery bill/ What my parents wanted me to budget) - $50.00/month (What I budgeted and suck to relatively well) = $150.00/month * 4 months = $600.00/ 4 months savings
    Trillium Benefits: $381.01
    GST/HST Benefit: $138.00
    CPP Disability Dependent Benefit: $3,316.38 (12 mo. backpay + 2 mo. reg) + $475.38 (2 mo. reg) = $3,791.76
Universal Bus Pass (School): $202.22 (Paid) - $1,305.00 (Worth of travel used) = $1,102.78

There is a lot more in savings, but I didn't keep track of all of it as well as I wanted to, gonna try to this year

Total approximate savings for 2016: $7,161.80

Recently sold my son's Cozy Coupe on a local buy n sell group.the buyer happened to be my former neighbor who had bought lots of clothing from me in the past that my son had outgrown...I replied to two posts this morning to sell a suit & his umbrella stroller. .fingers crossed that I get 1 or both sales.

Well, one month down, eleven more to go...

January Savings (No plans to spend ANY money tomorrow)
-Savings from shopping trips: $354.96 (Also includes some savings for others I helped shop for too)
    -CPP Disability Dependent Benefit: $241.02
    -Trillium Lump Pay: $145.50
    -Trillium Pay Back: ($156.08)
    -GST/HST Credit: $69.00

    Total savings this month: $654.40

That nice payback amount came one day after they lumped out my trillium as well.

Decided for February I am going on a nice cash budget to get my spending habits under control (Spent $321 on misc. stuff alone this month), so I will do as I have seen on Til' Debt do us part with a $50 budget for this month of February to curb my spending habits.
