It looks like with the recent exchanges, the rate is dollar for dollar.
    38,000 optimum = $60 (60,000 PC points)
    50,000 optimum = $85 (85,000 PC points)
    95,000 optimum = $170 (170,000 PC points)

The only difference would be if you took into account events where Optimum points are worth more than usual - in which case you are losing out when exchanging to PC points.

Need a cheap but still reliable phone plan. Try Public Mobile. Plans starting from $15 ($13 with auto payment).
Use code R8NLM8 or link when activate with Public Mobile and we both will get $10 bonus.
Win some extra cash or gift cards. Try Swagbucks... ww.swagbucks.com/refer/uanoor

I am wondering if you need enough to exchange in both accounts in order to be invited. I have enough to go from Optimum to PC Plus but not enough to go from PC Plus to Optimum.

Based on the image The_Rock showed, I think you only need the minimum amount in one account.

I'm wondering if this exchange is the reason we didn't see a Spend Your Points event at Shoppers in March. I was hoping for one, but if they don't offer them anymore (or only around Christmas), it might be worth my while to convert points if I ever get the offer.

I think it's random, based on your optimum account (I had 12k in my pcplus account). The transfer lets you link and transfer to any pcplus account, you can change and transfer to a second one.

I suspect they didn't want to overwhelm their new system so are doing it in stages.

So I transferred $510, fortunately missed last week's email on another account for transferring at the $85 rate.

It was rather bittersweet actually, I save optimum points for gifts of makeup for my daughters and other non-essentials ... cameras, tvs, speakers, video games...I could go on. For me though, it didn't make sense not to transfer, I shop at RCSS/NF/Zehrs anyway, they pricematch and offer more options. My plan is to use the PCplus points for groceries as I shop, then withdraw cash from my bank account for the $ amount I didn't have to spend. I am saving for a trip so will be glad to have the extra money.

I'm at 149k optimum points left so it is time to rebuild. Perhaps they will offer something better for the next email group??? ... you never know.

It's a very good point. The last thing they need is another glitch in their system. So they wanted to test it out in smaller batches first, and will orobably roll out to everyone.

I'm really hoping for an offer, we save all our points (sdm, pc) etc for Christmas and it would be awesome to be able to get gift cards for our Christmas purchases.

well ,, i was at supervalue bright and early today to buy gift cards with my points, wanted to get it done before the no tax sale, included i picked up some shoppers drug mart gift cards to go back to shoppers to get my percriptions for free and partake of any good point events or one day sale items,, i love the assortment of gift cards they have everything from marks workwearhouse , can tire, ardene, dining out or phone cards ,, it just seems to good to be true. it is gonna be so nice not to have to run around at shoppers buying overpriced items to make a redemption level and get the most bang for my points. so now with no money out of pocket i can buy milk 1 at a time if i wish. and get more points
p.s. my points mostly all come from my husbands rbc company card.

it says min 95 thousand shoppers points to transfer for $170 pc points
