Cherries, reg. $7.00/lb
Temporary price reduction $0.99/lb, 85%+off
Melons, honey crisp reg. $3.99 each
Permanent price reduction $0.50 each. These are nice and ripe.
Spring perennials, primulas, in bloom with nice fat health leaves
Reg. $6.99 for the Gigantico brand pot size
Sale, $1.94, 70% off+
Bought 4
Paid $7.76.
Almost like buying 1 and getting 3 for free.
If you are looking in the Loblaws/Zehrs/Independent/RCSS/Fortinos garden centers, reductions are on for:
- Spring bulbs – annuals and perennials are half price: begonias, gladiolas, etc.
- Hanging baskets (the truck brought too much of these too)
They are usually near the cash register
YMMV
I have my eye on a rosebush, but that might have to wait for a month, when they start to reduce the roses and shrubs.

Great deals! My local garden center operates a bit differently - they let the plants wither or dry and then discount them with a 50% sticker, and they get thrown out regardless because...well, they're dead. So wasteful!

OMGoodness!! I forgot Grandma making Cherry perogies. I LOVED these growing up. It has been more than a couple of decades since I have eaten them. I need to find a recipe to make them for my Little man.
OP- Which store did you score these fantastic deals? And did you leave any cherries?Last edited by matty's mom; Wed, Jun 1st, 2016 at 06:49 PM.
ROAK a Huggies or Pampers code to my local pregnancy centre- toys, clothes, food & diapers always needed!

Went back today. Cherries are gone. Melons – they put more melons out! Still $0.50. About 30 stacked on an end cap.
For over stock items, they are usually on an end cap so shoppers can find them easily.
Found PC Sparkling mineral water – regular, lemon, lime. Reg. $1.59, temporary sale $0.79 with a limit of 4. Another store had them for $1.49 with no special price.
WUB $50 worth of groceries, before coupons and points are deducted, you get a gas coupon after your receipt prints out. Someone left their coupon at the cash. Discount of $0.03 off each liter of gas at Gas Bar or Esso. Combined with the black colour PC Mastercard card swipe, adds up to some nice points.

Those melons could be a call to make own batch of melon pops. Take that, Melona bars!
