Scene Points

Couldn't find a scene points thread to ask this...

Can we double dip on scene points? I noticed we get points if we buy their restaurant gift cards. Has anyone received points for purchasing their gift card and then received points again when redeeming their gift cards?

No - you dont get points when you buy the gift cards. Only when you spend the gift cards.. (Cineplex Gift cards)

You do however, get scene points when you buy ultimate dining cards if they have the tab for the bonus points on them. This isn't much though. Its just 1 point for every 30$. So if you bought a 30$ ultimate dining card withthe bonus scene points tab you would get 10 scene points. If you then spent the 30$ at a restaurant you would get an additional 10 points....

The only way to really earn scene points at restaurants is with the scene dining bonus coupons: www.scene.ca/diningbonus

otherwise the 1 point for every 3$ spent is kinda useless to be honest. I mean it does add up.. but its not much at all.

It is the same one, the store should have physical cards for you to use if you don’t have one. You can also just set it up digitally with no physical card.

@Linda Evans Scene+ replaced the older Scene card. Yes, this is like the PC Optimum program in some ways. If you had the older Scene card, you'd have to transfer your points off of it to the new Scene+ card. Or redeem points for gift cards.

Don't know if Freshco has the same cardboard arch with brochures containing cards to pickup as Sobeys Extra in Ancaster had. You have to register the new card first before points can accumulate to your account. You likely can ask at Customer Service about the program if there is no obvious brochure display.

Take screen shots of promotions - I just had one expiring on the Dec 31st that didn't go through and they asked for a screen shot. This is the second time the bonus Swiss Chalet offer didn't work. The app when down on the 31st and I had to send several emails to get the 200 points that I was entitled to. Scene seems to go down a lot at Harveys & Swiss Chalet.
