What I do find very interesting is that SDM did a big update to the Optimum points website overnight which may coincide with point loss and those that logged in to check their balances.
I know that I only checked my balance earlier in the day on Friday, and not again until after I had done my MR to see that there had been an update as I cannot use my Firefox to access it anymore - they have made a mess of the cascading style sheets on the page.
I can check it with IE7, and using the SDM app on my Ipod - going to check with safari in a sec here...nope, it's all screwed up using safari too; I also know that Chris & Carl see the same mess using IE8.
Oh and to add - I don't even have virus software installed on my laptop, and I read a very high number of posts on here as well, so there is nothing on SC that would install 'spyware' which is NOT the same as 'adware' or 'tracking cookies' which are completely harmless despite what some 'techs' might claim.Last edited by KrazE; Sun, Dec 4th, 2011 at 04:50 PM.

I accidentally hit expire on this thread
I know you need 4 people to expire it, but can a mod reset it back to 0 or something so it doesn't expire if two more ppl hit it.

Yes I have very good protection software but I don't always scan.
I have not recieved points from anyone since August or so.
I do have a SDM Mastercard.
I did check my points Friday Night.

I personally am not accusing anyone on SC as I have read elsewhere on a blog and ppl have lost points and ARE NOT members on SC....although it doesn't change how I am saddened by this event....to myself and all others who lost points....

I agree I think the word that describes how I actually feel is "defeated"...I bought only a few items (cat food and chocolates) for myself the rest of the other redemptions I did were for others and hamper family.... when you are doing good and you get ripped off for me it hurts even more as just like everyone else ...we saved all year for this one week-end

I just signed my husband up for an Optimum Card and Shoppers site is a little "off". It repeatedly told me that the e-mail address I was using was invalid....I have had this address for several years and use it every day. I finally resolved the issue by using another one. There are a few things that just aren't right with their site after the updating.

I just recently came in from work and I'm trying to catch up with what's going on re: missing Optimum points. Not sure if this is the place to ask this but, I'm wondering: for those that have points missing, did everyone recently log into the SDM website to check on their points or to transfer points? Or for any other reason? If so, how did you log out (I haven't noticed a "log out" button on the Optimum page once logged in)? Did you just shut the window? Or did you click on "cancel."

It looks like the points loss almost coincides with the SDM Optimum site updates. The site is a mess on Firefox 8, IE8, & Safari, but works when I use the SDM app on my Ipod, or IE7.
