I registered our home phone as well. Nothing as annoying as the phone ringing from an 800 number, but no one answering on the other line.

thanks for the info...but only thing I do not like is anybody can put anybody's number to register and deregister since there is no identification or account is created on this website, it is open to anyone....!

Amen i signed up with IOpt out in the summer and i am doing this one as well... kinda like extra protection, i get like a dozen calls a day, very annoying

I am not a member, but I love your site, and wanted to add that in addition to the
Do Not Call Registry there is the webiste IOPTOIT.ca that allows you to stop the
excempt organizations from the DNC Registry from contacting you.

Let's see how this all works. I get from 3 - 6 calls a day. I've had the same number for 10 yrs so it's been a collection I guess. I never use my real number on forms for freebies.

I signed up awhile back and don't if it's a coincidence but I haven't been
getting annoying calls lately... until yesterday. The call was from a
newspaper and she said that "newspapers" were exempt from the
do not call. Oh well, I hope I got my message across to her and I doubt
that she'll call back lol
