@Natalka , I'll take the puppies! :tongue: And you're right about ragdolls, they are a beautiful breed, although goodness, "the twins" as our DD calls her two Siamese are just so darn elegant. Thing is...they know it, too. :-~
Hello friends! Great night at Oktoberfest! Never tasted sauerkraut that good!. Chicken dances, lots of pictures. Good friends and BrotherR got there and had fun. Stepson enjoyed the experience and took lots of pictures.
Now my back and feet are killing me - but it was all worth it.

Election volunteering almost done. Was just a good way to get out and do something. Might try to find something else to volunteer for. Today I also volunteered as the timekeeper for the parkrun 5k. I told them I’ll do it next weekend as well. I was mentioning how I’d like to get a bike for spring/summer. Then try to go timmins to cochrane which is 66 miles each way. One of the main volunteers at campaign office said they had a bike to give me because they bought a new bike. So I got it today and I definitely really appreciate it. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. :)

My absolute favourite guy on the Houston Astros ( Jose Altuve !!!) was the hero in the bottom of the 9th just now.
Not only did he hit the walk off HR, he hit it against Aroldis Chapman!!
Bye Bye Yankees!!
Now there are just 2 teams remaining. So many players had sour pusses after their loss but when Altuve hit that HR, I give Chapman credit, he smiled big out of respect for Altuve. That is classy!

Feels like I don’t have enough hours in my day. Was busy yesterday day went to a distant relative funeral. Then did some shopping.
Now I decided to do some baking finger cross these muffin turn out good. Making blueberry muffin, chocolate chip cookies and sugar cookies.
Still have lots to do around the house

@walkonby , we hit the sack before the game ended, but DH told me this morning about Altuve and I said that you must have been jumping out of your jammies when he hit that home run! Hahaha!

The kids had a fun day with their friends in Burlington, toured wineries all day....probably had naps when they got back, lol...
It was such a lovely day yesterday, we took about a 1/2hr drive to a flea market because I noticed something that may have been interesting on their website. Our GS bought himself a Buddha statue, and DH a huge fishing net for camp....but me, nothing. But as we were leaving, our GS spotted a magazine sized booklet with what he thought had a guitar handle on it, but he and I just yelped in surprise...it was a teach yourself the ukulele booklet!! He's asking for a ukulele for Christmas! The owner sold him the book for $1, and gave him 5 packages of strings!
He takes guitar lessons, plays both his acoustic and his electric bass guitars, so...on to a ukulele, lol...fun day, he enjoys flea markets too...yay!

Yes, @Lynn49 I am still celebrating Altuve and the Houston Astro's moment. You could NOT contain me last night when he hit that HR....DH and I were shamelessly frightening all our pets ( and probably the kids upstairs ) with our hoots and hollers.

In NHL news, did anyone catch the hit Drew Doughty gave Tkachuk in the 3rd last night? woo hoo! turned into a pile on!
Drew got a couple of face cuts, no penalty....while Tkachuk got 2 minors plus a 10 minute! ....LA dominated the whole game, 4-1 final.
@flemeth your baking sounds delish! I'm sure the muffins and everything else will turn out great. Any chance you may get some R & R time off? ( for good behaviour? ...ha ha )
Later this afternoon I'll be diggin in the dirt! Time to remove all our pretty annuals from the large flower bed to make way for the bulbs. ( assorted tulips, crocuses and narcissus ) I am simply the labour....DH is the foreman as his back and knees are a bit achy. Which means he'll point to where the stuff should go and I'll be doing it I suppose.
