Yes @GoJays you are doing the right thing. My Dog came from New York and he is our first and it was the best decision for us. We met him when we went to get him he was 11 weeks old and loved him . According to the owners he was a handful but he was so sweet for us. He is now 10 years old and still the love of our life.Quote:

@GoJays -- I grew up with good sized dogs, a Samoyed, a German Shepherd and a Kuvasz. I understand and respect your hesitation about not being able to meet your future new family member. I do know that Dog Tales in King City has a pretty good amount of all types of dogs at the moment. I don't know where you are, but it is worth a visit. Because they have their dogs in a much bigger setting with access to walks and care I think you get a better feel for who they are. The have a good website and FB. So, in short, get a dog--clearly all the cool kids are doing it ;)

No more falling snow here, roads are clear from the rain and ice the past two days. Hope you're all safe if you're on the road down there.
The kids are off to NorthBay for the weekend to visit friends, so we have our GS at least for tonight; tomorrow he will likely want to stay at his friend's for an over-night of computer games. Our DD dropped in for a coffee this morning and told us they're having an outdoor bonfire this weekend, and to bring warm clothes. She texted back: Don't you have a lovely fireplace indoors on your enclosed, warm patio? They do, and she's hoping that's where the fire will be, but nope: bonfire, lol...!
Not much going on here, 30 days until SPRING folks, your snow will likely be gone before ours in spite of your dumping of snow overnight.
