a very sad morning ( for me ) as I watched the towering, gigantic Serbian basketball players trounce the Canadians! So now Canada will play for bronze against
( of all opponents!! ) the USA! Grrrr!
Germany defeated the USA team a few moments ago, so it'll be Serbia and Germany who play for Gold now.....the game will be played on " I don't give an F!!! "
ha ha Oh....I'm upset now, but I'll probably look it up and watch.

Yikes to the KC Chiefs dropping game one to the Detroit Lions eh? To be fair they were playing without Kelce ( injured knee atm ) and this is just the start of the Season, no biggie yet. I know one sc member who was thrilled Mahomes lost, she dislikes him very much! bwahahaha

Good afternoon my friends! I Was here the other day posting yet got booted out so my nose got out of joint and I left.
Anyhow have been laying low with this oppressive humidity and forcing myself to do stuff that I have been putting off forever. That said it seems like it will be forever before I am caught up. @walkonby thanks for the latest sports updates.You are certainly passionate about them all!

oh brother, last night the Blue Jays caught 2 different breaks ( calls by lineman and ump! ) . Hey we usually are the ones getting the bad calls so I accept these gifts.
Close call in the 9th but they won game one. When I got online this mining I traveled down a few rabbit holes ( actually Capybara holes ) on the web.

Hahaha! Just look at you, @walkonby , talkin’ NFL football like a big girl!! AND understanding tge significance of Detroit and Goff trashing Mahomes!! Yes, I never get tired of watching the end of that game every time it’s played! Brilliant game to watch!

Sorry I haven’t been around lately, we’re only in town 2 days a week to do the laundry, visit doctors, shop, and although he’s much better now, my Hubby underwent 2 surgical procedures with complications resulting in 3 new stents to repair a collapsed by-pass done 15 years ago. It’s been a rollercoaster this past month, he was hospitalized just over 2 weeks, but we’re finally able to draw our collective breaths here.

This is our final visit to camp, so lots of packing going on!

Life should, hopefully, be back to normal after this!

Stay will, everyone, enjoy the beautiful weather!

yup, @Lynn49 me and football are a weird fit now. However, I know you personally don't watch any CFL ....BUT today the ARGOS trounced Montreal 36 -10 , Blue Jays took game 2 from K. City and JUST now Yandy Diaz did the Blue Jays a favour walking off in the 9th with a HR for Tampa! Why would I be happy about Tampa winning? Cuz they beat the Mariners.
We are now a full TWO games up on the Seattle Mariners. Bwahahaha
A.L. East Wild card mania!!

Very glad your hubby is on the mend! Enough hospital stays for a while now o.k??

@flemeth !! were you also watching the Fiba game? Canada medals for the first time! Bronze against the USA. It took O.T. to get there but the final score was sweet!118-127 . What an exciting game. I'll bet Dan Shulman is beat from calling these early games....Did I also hear him with Buck calling the Blue Jays games? Hmmm, maybe not.

Thank you, @walkonby , @flemeth…Hubby’s recuperating nicely and we hope it continues…..a beautiful LAST camping visit of the year! It’s so good to be home knowing we have nothing to plan for next weekend! Time to snuggle down for tge winter…we can use the rest! Have a lovely week, everyone!

So much for rest…..we have our performing group meeting this morning, lunch with our YES theatre director, then 2 skits for him to watch and help our performers with suggestions about polishing them up….I’m happy to just be the monitor!
