Good morning everyone
... @GoJays, I absolutely LOVE wrapping presents...not a bag to be seen! It's like a meditation...relax into it...
I suppose I could add that I don't mind folding towels, either...same reason...hahaha! And on this you and I agree: there IS a proper, acceptable, refined way to fold them.
And on the subject of wrapping...Hubby just came home with a bottle of Evan Williams egg nog from the LCBO because I'm working SO HARD for the past couple of days, wrapping!! I shall just go sample another smidge.....
you know @Lynn49 it's important to treat Elves right. Seems your DH understands that the resident gift wrapper in your house is the Tipsy Elf on the Shelf with tissue and wrapping paper, scissors, tape, ribbons and bows all in her holster! Place the spiked eggnog near her and run!!
I got this article in my news feed. Anybody check their Toonies lately?

So I’m the first at our Friday morning party?!
It’s DECEMBER!!
or….it’s now 24 sleeps until CHRISTMAS morning!
Enjoy your daaaaayy!
oh wow! It's like a Christmas Miracle! @Lynn49 you are the winner here! Congrats on being the first up and posting.
Yes, it's December first and that meant I got to stream the movie Candy Cane Lane this morning ( with Eddie Murphy and Tracee Ellis Ross! ). I liked it plenty!
After that I tried a test run on a special flowering tea ( :hahaha:a hard nugget that looks like a dried turd! ) that gets plopped into boiling water to brew.
I bought 2 bags of them to make up little sample size gift boxes for our dinner guests to take home. Many assorted varieties of fruit and other things.
This photo was brewed in my small squatty sized glass tea pot. ( sort of hard to video it opening in that one )

So.....when I have the real thing happening for the guests to watch the magic at Christmas I'll be placing 2-3 of the buds into a tall clear glass cold brew carafe. Some silly fun!
Hope everyone is close to getting ready for the 25th!!
Good morning everyone and welcome to December!...nothing like turning the calendar page then realizing just how much needs to be done! That said I'm pacing myself as managed to mess up the tendon in my right leg and apparently it's not a quick fix.
DW is on holidays for a week so no doubt she will want to deck the halls while I grumble yet"Resistance is futile"-Borg
Whatever you find yourselves up to today and this weekend enjoy yourselves!
Good morning all. A Saturday before December 25th and what is everyone doing? Not much on our plate except a family ( extended, relatives upon relatives )
all congregating at The Mandarin for lunch. Easy way to get and receive the " Merry Christmas " greetings to everyone. I'll be lunging in for hugs.
Read this article and am now convinced that I :hahaha: may be related to the ChinStrap Penguins.

Good morning everyone . Hope you all had a great weekend.
hey hey hey! Good morning once again. Let the work week begin!
Work week, @walkonby ? {{{{snicker}}} Every day is Saturday. For us, anyway….!
Although this time of year there is a lot of work to be done.
@Skippy, my Hubby realized many years ago that when it comes to Christmas decorating, resistance really is futile! Now normally I keep our home pretty minimalist, not old peoples’ decorating, lol…primarily to keep my sneezy asthma at bay, it’s easier to dust when there are very few chatchky, of which I have none. Photos, lamps, that’s it. But at Christmas? The sky’s the limit!! I love it all! Your wife seems like my people! lol!
Well, today I promised myself and Walks, that I will pull up my big girl parties and do the infusions on our DD’s t-shirts. She asked me to make a “camp hair don’t care” one, and I’ll also make a “today is the day I do everything tomorrow”. Infusions involve using a heat press to infuse cut-out ink sheet sayings into the fabric that’s soft, washable, unlike ironing on vinyl. It’s actually printed on the shirts.
So today is the day I do them, wrap them, then I can put away all the wrapping papers, ribbons, (I don’t use bags)! Everything bought, wrapped, done! On to the baking!
Enjoy your day, everyone!!
ha ha ...yes, I thought someone would catch that " work week " part. I mean the work we do now at home is unpaid, but it's still work. Just ask my poor knees and back. @Lynn49 oh boy! The T-shirts for your DD will be tackled today, I just know they will come out looking smashing!
I am now second guessing my urge to needle my sister with a silly gag gift and if will come off the way I want when she opens it.
She told me about an " icky " experience she had while we were chatting.
Apparently she bought 2 cans of Campbell's soup from a local corner store in her neighbourhood ( a craving she just had to give into apparently ).
Not only were these terribly overpriced but when she opened 1 of them at home and lifted off the top lid she looked closer at it to see the BB date stamp was from 2021!!
Gag me with a spoon right? No she never ate any of it.
So of course I went out yesterday and bought 2 cans of the same soup and wrote with black magic marker on the lids BB Date: YESTERDAY!
Why was I laughing, shaking with delight as I was doing it ? Was it because of DH's bewilderment and that face he made at me?
How much fun will this be if I get her laughing so hard she pees herself? I also got her some regular lovely presents too, I'm not an animal!
