we're going to start referring to you as " old faithful " @flemeth . Ty for always checking in and offering links to coupons, giving advice on any number of things we all need support with. I so appreciate in the slow months when no one says hello in here, you usually do.

@walkonby I am pretty sure with the beautiful weather we are having our friends are taking advantage of it and summer life is usually busy for most people.
Today seems to be a very gloomy day so I will be indoors for most of the day.

It would have been nice if it could have manifested me back to BC but no such luck, lol, and yes @flemeth, I need a post vacation. I still am having trouble readjusting to the time change after more than a week back

We drive the 1 1/2 hrs to our trailer every Thursday, returning om Monday generally for appointments, Hubby’s cardio exercise group, camp laundry which get repacked, and recuperating from all the activities, visiting at the campground. Our DD, her Hubby and our GS are there of course (GS working at Tim’s again, and driving!!), and their deck is usually where we gather for games, cards (euchre usually, or ‘golf’ when we don’t want to use many brain cells at all, lol). My asthma has kicked in again and even a short walk with Hubby to watch the children’s game day organized by our DD and others has me now resting in my recliner, watching the Olympic Games, next to my inhalers. It’s so hot and humid here, it just exacerbates it and I thank heavens for AC! I feel I can breathe!Quote:

August will be busy, too, then we’ll be on our drive to and through the east coast in September…but after that, we’ll be home, relaxing and I’ll have more time to visit.

@ Lynn49 nice of you to drop in , it sounds like you are having a wonderful time at camp . Enjoy the nice weather . Yes this weather is bad for allergies both my DD are having flare up.
Good day ladies! Nice repeated summer excursions for you @Lynn49 . You have it all down to a science now with the back and forth travel....and the wine, and the games abut most of all the A/C reprieve!
My outside adventure for today is done, Claudius received his rabies vaccine at the vet and they drew blood to test his thyroid and also kidneys. Once the results come back we will know whether to increase the thyroid meds again or stay where they are at. Sadly, he did NOT gain any weight since the last visit, which is the main reason for increasing the dosage of the thyroid meds. My guess is they will tell us to start giving him the entire tablet per day, but divided by 2 doses. He is such a gem of a docile cat. At 16 years old this will probably be his last rabies vaccine as they are given every 3 years. Sigh....
@walkonby keeping my fingers crossed that you have great results for your fur baby Claudius. Hoping he can gain some weight guess with age and health issues his appetite is not there . Our fur babies gives us so much love .Quote:
