There is LIFE in here again...lol. Good morning. Dilemma atm....the apples ( figured this year our tree has a bumper crop on it!) are starting to drop
( most unripe ) but the issue is they are falling on the semi-prepared driveway. The second layer of sand and stone still has to be laid down and left to settle.
I don't know if we're expected to remove any apples ( even the darn squashed ones ) or if the guys doing the work will clear it before they apply the next layer?

oops! ^^^ reading over my last post in here I may have jinxed the Jays! They have now lost FOUR games in a row.....can they at least win todays last afternoon game with the Baltimore Oriole's? Fingers crossed. I'm wondering if my central air temp is set too cold because the butter in the butter dish is not softening that much....ha ha

Well tonight is an MLB night to savour!! ( for me anyways ) The Blue Jays vs Dodgers is on Sportsnet, first pitch is at 10 p.m. BUT.....the NYY and the Astros are streaming on Apple+ at 7 p.m. !!! I love Altuve, always have. Cannot help gushing over his abilities packed into that teeny frame! I usually watch the Astros games or sometimes the highlights JUST to see if he gets another HR. ( he usually has one or more.

I may need a nap this afternoon to stay awake for the late Jays game. Fun fact, tonight 2 veteran pitchers face off ....Clayton Kershaw ( L.A ) and Max Scherzer!! ( Jays )
What snacks go good with a 0-0 score after 6 or 7 innings? I'm totally prepared that no batters will get a hit off either pitcher.

Chuckling......The Yankees blew it again! ALL that " booing " by NYY fans every time Altuve stepped up to the plate. So in his first at bat he gets a 2 run homer!
In extra innings he was the man on 2nd base and came home on a hit. Final was 5-3

The Jays have the slimmest of leads atm, 1-0 in the middle of the 5th inning.

Be still my heart! Last years World Series Champs ( Dodgers ) were expected to be a challenge for The Blue Jays. We were trounced on the first 2 games, however the last game this afternoon we somehow pulled off a win. Not sure how?? our closer ( HOFFMAN!!! ) pitched the worst he has ever pitched, walking FOUR bloody batters and allowing a walk to come in tie the game. Pitching change ( bottom of 9th ) Fluharty manages to strike out OHTAHNI with the bases still loaded!! Whew! too much stress....lol

good morning flemeth! I've been up for about 2 hours but thought it was too early to post anything. ( members may think I never sleep! lol )
That being said I'm still on a HIGH over that last Blue Jay game. Mainly for the pitcher who earned the win! Lets call this The Fluharty Party!

In the 9th he inherited a bases-loaded, one-out situation ( Blue Jays up by only 1 ) and escaped by striking out Shohei Ohtani.
Let that sink in! OHTANI! The guy with 41 HR's this year. Then getting Mookie Betts to ground out.
