Took an extended long weekend...although didn't really want o.
The Lady spent most of the long weekend in bed, sick.
took her home yesterday and spent to day working on an outdoor project while taking care of her.

Hello folks! I can hear the traffic on wet roads so it is either currently raining or has been. So sorry to hear about your lady being sick for the long weekend, Dan! Also, Lynn- that's weird and unsettling about your hand swelling up again!
Two Dr appointment s for me today. Another 5 minutes, then I must leap - well gently verticalize myself. My morning dose of meds are doing their thing. I have been seeking a more natural way to deal with my aches and pains.
Natalka seems to have been absent for a while again. Hope she's still moving towards wellness.

good morning dan, avon, flemeth and cathy.......I felt the chillier temps this morning but really no demanding errands for me to do unless I insist on grabbing milk.
Two NHL games last night were quite exciting. Vegas Golden Knights got their first win in their Home opener.
And Nashville Preds got to hang their first ever banner ( Western Conference Champs last year ) in their arena.... oh and a teary eyed retired Mike Fisher was there to witness it but the win they got last night was bizarre!
They blew a 3 goal lead in the first only to come back and tie it late in the 3rd.
A lost offside challenge from the Flyers meant a 2nd player now went to the penalty box giving the Preds a 5-3 power play....and they scored the winner with 36 seconds left!
Oh and when DH got home all he could say was Montreal LOST! ha ha I never even tuned into that one. ( this hate for the Montreal team has become his gag joke ) ....I told him the Nashville game was way more exciting to watch.
I am also starting to feel uneasy about how long Natalka has been away....really hoping her medical care is doing all that she needs to get better. Check in with us when you are able @Natalka !!

Dang nippy out there, DH said, when he put Jenny out for her morning constitutional, but I have a physio appt this afternoon, so I'll have to be out there.
The top of my hand is still swollen from that bed sting a couple of weeks ago, slightly pinkish, but I think the swelling is going down slowly. I'm keeping a close eye on it. The pain and itching is gone. Last night was the worst with my sore throat, took about 5 Halls lozenges, 2 throat sprays, and finally a heavy duty Tylenol and this morning my throat is just about fine again. Just a cold left.
I'm hoping Natalka is finally getting the intense treatment she should have received right from the beginning! I hope her doctor didn't wait until that staph infection got so much worse. I hope and pray she's healing, that her appetite has returned and that her sleeping pattern has also been tackled. Take the time you need, Nat, and come back shiny and new!
Dan, I hooe your Wife is feeling better today.

@22hicks Hope you feel better before your surgery. Will be praying for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. Take good care of your self. Will be keeping u in my prayers. Please give us an up date when u are up to it.

I saw my orthopaedic surgeon today and he's sending me for an MRI of my foot and ankle. My general Dr reviewed meds -updating some and will be sending me to another specialist.
Boy, I am sure spending my portion of our free health care.
Oh, and I got my flu shot and am slated to get a pneumonia shot.
I checked up on my dear Sadie and she is apparently doing very well, enjoying her buddies. They will look for someone with schnauzer experience once her foster thinks she is ready to find a permanent home.
Going to wish you all good night and sleep copy until the morning light! ((Which in a couple of weeks we will be turning back-yikes!)
