The weekend here has been a cycle of shovel, salt, clean vehicle, drive, then cook. So quite boring really but we are so grateful that we only got as much snow as we got....other areas are worse off, we have our power and that is a blessing.
Will be watching the Grammy's tonight if I can grab the remote and hang onto it......ha ha .

Watching the Grammies. I usually don't, but I actually have heard of at least some of the artists and I can't find Madame Secretary. I seem to have done something to my back. I think it's from carrying Sadie across the really salted parts of the driveway and sidewalk.
So it's Advil. Let's see if that does it.

Jeepers, @avoncallingu, don't you dare hurt your back!! Carrying Sadie.....you can always wash her paws in a nice warm bowl of water when she comes back inside if she's been walking on salt....I don't think there's an area anywhere around here that isn't salted, poor critters.

Hello every1. I see most of you stayed in & kept warm.
Me, well I had to go to church, it was my on duty, my 1st scheduled day as a sides person, greeting, bulletins, offertory collection, and controlling the flow for communion. I have also taken on the co-ordination of that ministry, and was sworn in today @ our annual vestry meeting.
There was lunch too.
Since I got home about 2:30, I've been shovelling on and off ever since. Boy, that wind is wicked. I even shovelled a dog run in the backyard for Jake. I'm estimating we got about 8", maybe a little more. Unfortunately, the plough just went by after 11:00, so my driveway is piled high again. That has to be a Monday job; my body is already screening at me.
And what's this ? Now they're calling for more freezing rain.
I can't wait for spring.

WHY am I up so early?!!!!
I made myself a Keurig coffee because by the time my DH gets up a pot if ciffee will be a couple hours old. He has a nasty cold, so took Nyquil last night....passes right out. We don't usually get up until 8:30-ish. 7am is just silly.
Good heavens, @22hicks , you really got hit with white crap! Take it easy shovelling, it doesn't all have to be done in one shot...pace yourself. Or do half and hope a neighbour takes pity in you and finishes it.:tongue: After my DH retired he used to do a bunch of neighbours in the mornings after he did our driveway....hope you have someone near you like that, too. Those were the days we didn't sleep in until 8-9 in the mornings!
@danger_dan , can coffee be taken intraveniously at work, or might that be frowned upon? Have a really good week, Hon.
Did you all see the evacuations in California because a dam may burst and flood the lowlands? What a fright that must be for them.
