PC "warning"!!
Just fyi, everyone: I was just surfing usual sites I've gone to before, when my page LOCKED onto this huge warning sign, warning me that there is an imminent threat to all my information, long explanation, very official looking, call this number immediately!! And I do mean the entire page was locked, no url bar, nothing. So, stupid me, I called the number and got a guy explaining to me that it's a genuine threat and blah, blah, he needs to connect to my computer and remove the threat! Hey, Buddy, this isn't my first rodeo, and told him that wasn't going to happen and that I'm going to look up their number on my iPad...ok, he says, he'll wait.....the stinking confidence!!....
While he's waiting, I did a search on that phone number, "888-2668708" and discovered it was a bogus scamMER and they were the bad guys. I told him that this is a scam and that I'll deal with this myself and hung up.
Ok, yes, first mistake was calling that number but geez! It actually looked like it was from MS!
Of course I'd never let anyone ever take control of our computer!! Good grief! But how many other people wouldn't or couldn't have checked that phone number (not everyone has several other devices they can use for that) and given them control so they could steal everything, then apparently (as per that info site I found), they actually charge people for that service!! Now they also have their credit card number!!
Anyway, just a warning........don't do what I did, do what I finally did do, shut down and reboot!!

@Lynn49 Yes definitely watch for those scammers. I watch YouTube videos where they call these scammer numbers and then manage to put viruses on the scammers computers.
Also everyone thanks about my dental appointment. Actually it turned out I needed to have 3 teeth pulled. 2 far ones on bottom left and 1 on top left However the dentist said overall jaw bone and teeth are in good shape. She said that concludes my procedures. I definitely had the prescription filled for the antibiotic and pain meds especially since it's no cost through welfare. I've been drinking kefir and eating pudding and blueberry cottage cheese today lol.
