Got my locks chopped by a visiting nurse. Only then to find my regular hair dresser would be available next week. My hair is Vewy, Vewy short as Elmer Fudd would say. Kind of looks like Elmer Fudd. Maybe I can find an Elmer Fudd hat to cover it up.
Took the doggies to the cemetery field for a sniff and run. Then someone steered my car to The Dairy Queen.
This was a PERFECT summer day! Maybe the only one for a while. Supposed to be hot and steamy for the next couple of days.
Sat out on my balcony for a little while this afternoon. It was glorious!
Well, @Natalka - hoping you can find some peaceful rest.
Good night friends I am drifting off.

Glad to see you pop in for an update @Natalka . I hope whatever is ailing you passes soon.
I hate when my car decides to steer itself to certain shops and establishments @avoncallingu
And don't worry about the hair. The nice thing is, it grows back. And besides, it's getting hotter out so it will be much cooler for you!
Congratulations on the new trailer @Lynn49 , I assume your house will not see you for the entire summer?
You can tell your "friend" that doing dishes like that is perfectly acceptable @walkonby . Do it enough times and they might actually clean themselves. But you..... uh, they.... may be eating off of paper plates for awhile.
Good news about the border crossing, as long as that's all they open it up to for a long while yet. Will you be able to see your family @flemeth ?
I'm going to hang out with @danger_dan and Lynn. I've gone three months without malls and restaurants. Another few weeks certainly won't kill me, but going to one might! And just think of all the money that we've saved! Although, my foaming hand soap reserves from Bath and Bodyworks are running dangerously low and the cheap s don't have a website in Canada. Am I angry with them? YES! Will I continue to shop in-store once it's safe and acceptable to do so? Also yes!
Have a great day friends. I'm off to find some memes and then off to work

hee hee, good morning gang.
I can sure sympathize with the haircut timing @avoncallingu , they are calling me Shaggy these days but I still won't chance a visit to the hair pros. Maybe in another month....we'll see.

Good morning!
@GoJays , @walkonby , @danger_dan , virtually hanging out together sounds good to me! No visiting my hairdresser for me, either, Walks. Although we have no cases here right now, as things open up and people hit the mall, stores, anyone who may have been feeling " under the weather" may be a carrier, so I'll stay put. Camping will change also with transients being allowed in again. It's been so nice so far,
Not sure about the saving money thing, @GoJays , seems we found a way to splash out some money, lol, with that trailer. You're right, however, we'll be spending more time there now with having more room to stretch out.I may even bring my sewing machine! Omgosh, the cupboard space is amazing...bet some of it'll be empty like our Daughter's trailer.
It's going to be a gorgeous day for picking rhubarb in our garden. I'll make a rhubarb crisp, jam (sauce, really, but on toast and waffles it's just the best), and we'll freeze the rest. I guess we'll see what's growing at the kids' house where we had planted it. It has to be picked this time of year here, leaving enough for a fall bounty.
Ok! Enjoy your day, everyone, @Natalka , I hope for a much better day ahead for you.Last edited by Lynn49; Tue, Jun 9th, 2020 at 08:11 AM.

Good morning all @GoJays I will not be leaving Canada for a while until I am certain that the virus is under control. I also told my family not to be even thinking about coming to Canada for now. So we will have to wait and see.

That's smart, @flemeth ...either way, you'd have to self-quarantine for 2 weeks after crossing back into Canada. I'm not sure it's the same policy in the US.
@walkonby, stick your hair into a French roll, stick combs in it, or a low pony-tail, but yes, don't go into that salon. Anything like that type of personal service still concerns me, so no hairdressers, no tattoo parlors, and no nail shops for me until the smoke thoroughly clears.
Managed to get the rhubarb picked with only 1 mosquito bite. Hubby went to the kids' house and picked the ones we'd planted there and got about 20 bites....that back-forty is infested with them! Ugh!!
On with the day!!

^^^ ha ha cute laughs
@Lynn49 the locks on my head are nowhere near holding any elastic for a cute pony tail, however I found 2 very old clips that keep the overgrown front part outa my eyes. That'll do for now.
I Posted a new Randy Rainbow video in the Politics thread! Here it is in case any of you are bored enough to tap your toes to it. A few days back #45 had been escorted to the Presidential Bunker when those scary protesters were outside the W.H.
Awww, @Lynn49 you have home grown Rhubarb? I am jealous. I had to buy a 454 gram package at NoFrills, I think it was $3.99....makes just ONE deep dish pie when mixed with strawberries.
Today I tried to make a new face mask from a DIY video using a single thin short ( CLEAN or new ) ankle sock. It did work BUT the loops pulled my ears forward a bit so I resemble a taxi with the back doors ajar.

@walkonby, if you have any ribbon, seam binding, etc, just run each piece through the loops you have and tie it behind your head...that should work for you...
I think I saw something on tv this morning where if you go to McD's you'll get a free mask with any order...Tims is doing the same, I think??
Crap that's Calgary...keep an eye and ear(s...lol) out for businesses giving them out...
As to rhubarb, I grew up with scads of it in my parents' garden and we just loved it! My Mom used to make a sauce (as I just did) to have on toast, pancakes, etc.
As kids my brother and I would pick a stalk each and we'd have little bowls of sugar...we'd dip and munch.
I kept enough aside for a crisp. I didn't have strawberries, but I do have strawberry jello and like my Mom before, I add a small pkg to the sauce (or jam) for the flavour and to help it gel.Last edited by Lynn49; Tue, Jun 9th, 2020 at 01:49 PM.

I think I could listen to Rev Sharpton for as long as he wants to speak, lol....
