    Today is getting stuff done day...Cooking the boys meals now so they can heat and eat later. (while using up stuff!)
    Running up and down the stairs is great (my office is on 2nd story) and all that walking last week really helped! I am good once I start and keep going so not going to stop this time!

    30 minute weighted vest walk tonight was all I could squeeze in after a crazy busy day. Tomorrow’s plan is leg day

    Even though I’m working my butt off and it’s a very physical job I still hit the gym every day except yesterday after work.

    This afternoon the plan is legs again…. I’ll throw in a bit of core if Im feeling wild

    Waiting for my dad to go to the gym with me this morning. He wanted to go after 8am and I pushed for 7am . The look on his face was priceless . It was like when you’d be dragged out of bed to go to school, your eyes were barely open and had the sourest look on your face! It was like I asked for his last remaining kidney!!! I told him to text me if he was up and ready to go by 7and if not I’d wait. So now I wait…………..……

    We decided that since it was sunny and 10 degrees we’d pickleball. December 1st and we’re pickling. Love it!

    It really is. It is such a fun game to play and the exercise is even better. Hoping it stays pickle friendly weather until the end of the month (at least one or two more days)

    So I worked out on Thursday night and I don’t know what happened but i woke up with pain Im my shoulder. Wickedly painful. I’m guessing frozen shoulder or just a really bad muscle soreness. I did the hit shower, massage and finished off with myoflex. It eased but it’s still sore so obviously I didn’t workout yesterday and today will only be cardio and or leg day. Not using my arm at all.

    I hate these “setbacks”

    So I’ve been working out since I hurt my shoulder but just no upper body strength. Loads of incline walks and runs with some lower body strength.

    This morning Dh and hit the gym and I did 45 upper body strength and 30 min intervals on the treadmill. Bench presses were more challenging this time after being off it for a while but got it done.

    I’m making an effort to include mini workouts into my day. It’s usually between 8-15min at a time. I use our stationary bike and free weights. I just purchased rubber loop exercise bands. They come in 5 different resistance levels and included a book of exercises with pictures. I haven’t tried them since they arrived just before Christmas. I’ve been shovelling snow and helped our kids work on their snow forts in the yard.

    I'm trying to get the maximum benefit from my snow shovel. It is a task/chore but, since I am already spending the time, I try to maximize the sweat generated. I used to just push the snow onto the edge of my yard, because I was lazy and did the minimal effort required. Now, I try to throw the snow a foot or so past the edge of my lawn. This forces me to bend my knees to actually scoop the snow up and throw it. It isn't much additional work, but it also helps me get the snow piles further away. I figure that every little bit helps.

    Dh and I went for a walk last night and ended up with 4km done. It was damp and cold which I’m not a fan of but the cold air felt really nice. Actually it wasn’t too cold or wet. Slightly foggy but that’s what reflective gear is for.

    I love our walks the best. Quiet time and time to talk. Win win

    Today we went sledding as a family. That was a pretty big hill to climb. We had fun. Dh works tomorrow, but I’m still hoping to take the kids sledding there again tomorrow before the weather turns cold again.

    I worked out for 20min while Dh was cooking the meat for tonight’s supper.
