Being a large chain, they now have to post the calorie counts of their dinners, so what did they do?
Smoke and mirrors..at least for me:
2 can dine for $15.99, includes 2 quarter chicken legs with sides.
In small print below: Quarter chicken dinner (430-1100 calories, serves 2)
So...in order to have the 430 calories I have to share my quarter chicken dinner?!
Or am I reading that wrong?
Some people care about those things when they're eating out.
Other items: all have a calorie range depending on the "side" you order, so you still don't
have an accurate count. Is the mashed potato side less calories than the buttery rice side?
For a range of classic burger, cal range 570-1240, how are we to know how many calories
we're adding to that burger when we choose a side, unless the wait staff can provide that info?
Now personally I don't care: if I'm out for dinner somewhere I'm not worrying about calories, or, sillier still, nutritional counts.
Imho if someone wants each menu item to include the salt, fat, etc counts: eat at home. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Instore, they probably have all calorie counts for each item.

I find it best to check the counts online on the website-fast food places won't necessarily have the information available unless HQ provides locations with a tiny printed brochure. This especially applies to McDonald's-remember how the tray liners used to list some of the popular product calorie counts or the locations had the little guides?
I checked the calorie counts of Starbucks baked goodies-they all seem to be 350 cal or lower.
All the lines of print in an ad costs money, so a range covers the company's adherence to the Ontario law requiring the display of caloric info.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

No SC there, Nat? Gosh, hard to believe....It's been years since we've been there, and frankly whenever we dine out I could care less about any calorie and nutrition counts.
I recall in our "youth", when my DH was teaching, he attended Queens University for a summer course, took his motorcycle back and forth (and you must know how excited I was about THAT choice! Not!)...anyway, he had to keep bringing back the SC sauce because we didn't have one here...big containers of it, lol...poor critter. Ah.....to be young again....

There could be out west, just not in Saskatoon. There was one decades ago, but unfortunately they picked a crap location, so didn't last.
