Thank you! I am working on getting the meat in the mix... next veg and fruit and trying to keep my spending to a low level. Right now we have 2 small turkey`s in the freezer and i will prolly go back for 1 more. It just isn`t easy to get meat and fruits and veg for free. I am holding on to my wm receipts so it is possible the totals from a gift card later will help pay for other things.

Thank you! I have decided to amp up my savings for this next year and kinda have been pushing myself to get the best savings as often as possible. Taking 3 months off over the summer was kind of killer... i still couponed but it was on a lower level and i am still not quite where i want to be yet. I am doing a picture diary and accounting for my expenditures. This next year for me is going to be huge and i couldn't do it without everyone's help on here... so thanks for your posts and even the great brags! I posted mine mostly so new people can see that really good savings on every day products and groceries is possible. Everyone else's brags have really shown me so much! So thanks for bragging! lol

Ha! Says the Master! I love looking at your savings every week and i am just keeping better track. I need to do the pictures for my own sake as i am a visual learner. Very often i share my pics on my facebook with my friends, it helps keep me very accountable and shows them that they can do better. lol the sneeky beggers are watching too! I just hope some join in on the savings.

This is good to have a goal or to want to keep the spending at low level. With coupon at beginning we could want everything and spend more without have a saving in our hand. I remember my first month of couponing, I didn't get saving, I was spending more and getting more stuff for my buck. But I one point I decided to decrease the $ spend and concretised the saving. This was a very good choice

Happy to see I'm not alone like that!

As a beginner, this has happened a few times, so I have to catch myself and say "Yes, I do have the coupon that will make that cleaning product $0.99, but I already have 20 in the garage." $1 here, another $ there, soon it throws your whole savings off. I know eventually it pays off, but I hear ya, I get caught up in it sometimes...gotta be careful!
Nice brag!!! Wish I had a coupon for meat, never quite gotten any overages yet.

In the begining there was a coupon

It takes time to accumulate the coupons you need to really start saving big... and you darn near need a degree to understand how all the match ups work with what policy is where and knowing what the rock bottom prices are and where the point value exceeds the cost of a item. It does not happen over night. You save more as you go... stick to your budget and work aggressively at learning policy and where to spend what and gathering up the coupons you need for the products you use. Slowly take off a bit of $ off your budget every month and remember... 500 bottles of baby food is not good when you don't have a baby and you have a budget. This is as much of a intense spending plan as it is a budget.
