ExpiredI left a box of chocolates hanging from the mailbox today for the mailman -- he knocked on the door to thank me and said I made his day!
Glad he enjoyed it and it felt good to thank him, because sometimes the mail is the highlight of my day!!This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by ame555; Thu, Dec 22nd, 2011 at 05:52 PM.

I've been trying to catch her all week - but I think she might be on holiday and there's a substitute. I put some body lotion and lip balm together with a Tim's card. I hope I can find her tomorrow - if not it'll be next week!

We have central mail boxes. I know when our mail guy is there though....the music from his car literally vibrates the floor of my vehicle!

great reminder and kudos on all gifts so far. I've got my card hanging outside but he's either late today or there's no mail for me. will check again and bring back inside if he's not been by, by then. it's cooollldd outside!

A gift for our carrier? Not a chance....not since a friend, who's a carrier told me two years ago, that when they see lots of "stuff" coming through that's obviously free, EVERYONE takes one!!
No thanks. I think they've taken enough around here.
ps...I'm sure there are good ones, and one x-tra special one on SC, but around here, when I heard that? I almost got ill.

I wonder who??

btw I have awesome customers . So far I have gotten all 3 selections of the Pot O Gold chocolates, from 3 different people ( ? strange huh? ) but so yummy! Cash too, but today a delicious home made fruitcake! ( I just love that stuff, esp. home made)
Thanks for posting OP! Nice of you to make your carriers day.

I always leave something for my mailman - he is the greatest!!
This year we made him some home made shortbread and got a card with a Tim's G/C inside
When I returned from work today they were still in my mailbox with a extra note attached
"Your regular mail person is on vacation" As much as it is really appreciated I don't believe these are for me
Very nice person to think of the regular mail man - although tomorrow they will get their own pkg left for him/her for the thoughtfulness to leave itLast edited by Peachykeen2007; Thu, Dec 22nd, 2011 at 08:50 PM.

although i remember the year hubby was delivering products.. he would always get nice xmas goodies $, GC's, chocolates. one xmas he was on a different route for a sick co-worker.. the person covering his shift got everything.. the $, GC's and chocolates and more.. and never said a word to him.. he found out a few weeks after they were told to give this to 'him' please. he was not impressed.
