Did anyone get an email today saying that the PC Insiders terms and conditions have changed? Effective November 20, 2018:
Changing:
One surprise gift a year instead of two ... I haven't had one come yet, so it will be interesting to see what they send.
Some offers cannot be combined with any promotional points offers and blackout periods for Joe Fresh items will apply.
The small print says that PC Insiders offers cannot be combined with you card/store/flyer offers. You will get one or the other but not both ... e.g. PC insiders gives you points on baby diapers and formula ... if the store had a deal on to give you points, you can use either the store/card/flyer offer or the PC insiders offer, but not both (it says you will be given whichever deal gives you the most points).
The blackout periods for Joe Fresh are around Black Friday and Boxing Day and are dates somewhere between Nov 16 to December 6 and December 26 to Jan 9 ... presumably they will email and give the exact dates. But PC Insider points won't be given to Joe Fresh purchases during this time. As these changes don't some in until Nov 20 ... you have 4 days from 16 November to see if Joe Fresh have any smoking deals!!
New:
20% back (in points) on PC Black label collection items.
20% back (in points) on select brands at Shoppers Drug Mart locations.
Free shipping on all orders at shoppersdrugmart.ca
Exclusive offers on PC Insiders collection items ... no idea what these are!Last edited by Colsgirl; Fri, Oct 19th, 2018 at 09:53 AM.

No, PC Insiders is something different, you pay $99 a year and you get free Click and Collect and a whole bunch of offers. They sent me an offer that if I signed up for a year they'd give me 100,000 points. So I did it because it basically gives me free click and collect for a year!

I got the email as well. It isn't really a credit card thing, but I think it was only offered to credit card holders as its still in the pilot stages. I also signed up when I got 100 000 pts for doing so. (no brainer). I've used click and collect a couple times, but I still like to pick out my own groceries. and often have a hard time planning enough in advance to place the order in time. All in all, doesn't seem worth the $99 a year. We'll see if I end up using the travel credit.
I also haven't received the surprise pack yet. I was kinda curious about the: 20% back (in points) on select brands at Shoppers Drug Mart locations.

I received the email as well. I'm personally not impressed with a program that changes the rules so soon after offering it.
I also signed up when the 100,000 points was offered. That was back on September 4. My MasterCard was charged but I'm still waiting to receive the 100,000 points.
Has anyone received theirs yet?Last edited by lotsasavings; Fri, Oct 19th, 2018 at 10:21 PM.

I received my 100,000 points about 3 weeks after I signed up. I use click and collect once a week, I order all my groceries with the exception of fruit (I buy local for that). I then pick it up on my way home as I pass the store anyway. I like the fact you can select whether substitutions are allowed and there is a comment field where you can suggest alternatives.

IDK when it happened, but on the PCO site under "Cards", it is now possible to set each device (card, key tag, phone) to earn-only mode.

WOW thanks for letting us know, this is huge ... when it was PC Plus I had points taken (I got them back from Superstore), but I like to lock my cards!
Edited to add comment:
From what I can see this can only be done on a computer - I couldn't see a way to do it on my cell phone.Last edited by Colsgirl; Tue, Oct 30th, 2018 at 09:19 AM.

I had the points on my PC Plus account before I got my credit card statement where they took the $99. You should try calling them. You should use the number in the image below, my local store doesn't know what PC Insiders is, so PC Optimum might not be that up on it either!

Old Optimum program - the answer was no. Those promo cards reduced the total by $10, and we never got base points on them.
New program - not entirely sure. I've never wanted to risk it yet. But the last promo card I got and used I spent just over $10, I got 150 (base) points. Not 0 like I expected. Soooooo, I think it would be worth trying! Although I still didn't risk it today. Hoping to use it on a 20x day where I'm spending at least $10 more than minimum anyway.
