I’ve been in touch with all 3 Daycare families that I interviewed last week, but no signed contract. One lady was very surprised when I handed her my Daycare contract for us to review. She said I was the 4th person she had met with, but the first one with a contract. She said she doesn’t have a daycare contract with her current provider. I arranged a meeting with another Daycare parent late this afternoon.
I just finished calling purina because I did not receive my proplan coupon and they will send coupons :) 5 more compagnies to writthe and I am done.
Morning! Tonight youngest DS has his night class so after dropping him off and then picking him up I hope to get some things done at home. Laundry and empty the dishwasher for sure. I meant to take out ground beef to make taco meat. Will have to do that tonight.
Income tax refund was in my account yesterday. Moved a chunk of it and left some in account. DS and I need new bikes so hope to take a look this week. Will have to post our old ones up for sale and hopefully get a few bucks for our Summer fun jar.
Paid extra on my credit card so I have a credit on it to cover the shopping this week without touching the budget.
I think we can finally starting raking the yard. All the snow seems to finally be gone now! Took a look at the outdoor living stuff at Canadian Tire on the weekend and I want everything. I do have lots already I just need to gather it all and set it up. Even an outdoor rug that I bought a few years ago on clearance.
I went to SDM on Sunday and did the spend $75 get $25 in points.
Total spent was $81.90. Work owes me $31. I received 28,405 pts. And I picked up a stocking stuff so not bad I would say!
I bought:
.99 x 4 choc milk
4.27 4L white milk (received 2280 pts 20x the pts)
1.88 x 2 eggs
3.49 butter
3.00 wet wipes (for car)
9.99 Pintys chicken (For a quick dinner)
19.99 (cologne for DS's stocking. They changed the package! On shelf for $100 in the regular section!!)
Sunday’s supper was Jane’s chicken fingers in pitas with veggies and marble cheese.
Monday's supper was toasted bacon, tomato, and cheese sandwiches.
Tonight’s supper plan is turkey (pre-cooked and in the freezer) in a mushroom sauce, steamed fresh baby carrots, cauliflower, and broccoli with noodles.
Last night Dh and I went to the new Avenger’s movie. We often see these in theatre, but I really didn’t like this particular movie. It was our first night with a babysitter since February.
Tonight is the first night of soccer season. We have soccer Tue, Wed, Th, for the next 6wks.
I’m going shopping at Sobeys 10% off Tuesday, after Dh and Ds return from soccer. I have plans to use a bunch of coupons. Sobeys’ system takes 10% off the total, before coupons are applied. You also earn Air Miles on the total, before coupons. I’ll post details after the shopping trip.
I just spoke to the receptionist at our doctor’s office. He is leaving by the end of June. She has been instructed to charge $50 per patient to transfer medical files. I expressed displeasure as he is the one who is leaving us, so it’s not our choice. $250 to transfer our family’s medical files, no matter the size. She hung up on me. Our community has a doctor shortage and that’s why they opened a walk-in clinic at the ER because so many people don’t have a gp. I booked a doctor’s appointment at the end of March to get in to see him on May 8th. We have lost 7 doctors over the last 2yrs. There are 3 doctors who are supposed to arrive in the next month or two. Two are currently qualifying to practice in Canada and the other one is dealing with immigration paperwork, coming from the U.K.

Morning! Yesterday was my long day. Work all day, work through my lunch to get DS to his 2 things in the evening. I still managed to do 2 loads of laundry and put one load away lol. Tonight a school function so won't be home till around 8 I assume.
Will carry on with the laundry since I want it all done for the weekend.
Tomorrow night I need to go shopping for Spring clothing. I am long over due!

I woke up in pain at 3 my period decided to join me I went back to sleep at 5am and woke like a minute ago it’s now 7+am . It’s suppose to get up to 19C today and it’s hella sunny outside already.
I was going to do my laundry today but first day of my red friend I don’t think that’s going to happen. The cramps are unbearable at the moment.
I don’t have to do anything actually I have a call coming in from my debt counsellor to see where I am at with things.

Saved money $30 thanks to the free income tax programs from CRA link posted by @Shwa Girl
Ordered more paper coffee filters for my Keurig reusable filter from eBay - looking for unbleached ones but they are expensive. Have an appointment this afternoon and definitely don't mind taking the bus as it is gorgeous out today.
Excellent mail day!!! :) Received my purina fpc for proplan and 2 awesome trades from french fb couponning groups!!! :)
Happy May 2, Smart Canucks! Another hot day. in the Southern Ontario area. Of course online, I find out Haagen-Daaz (US) will be giving out free ice cream cones on May 8 from 4-8pm (paging @Arvilish if you are still in the US this month).
I don't have ice cream but I have ice cream cups. I'll put some frozen fruit mix into one later today and see if that is refreshing or not. Still have to go to the LCBO to get the new Food & Drink magazine.
Yesterday was shoe buying day-I found a pair of runners & socks for Mom and a pair of slides we both can use in the backyard. I also got some greeting cards and pop and library magazines on my two trips. Now I have to be really careful with money for groceries for the month. Glad I purchased Jane's chicken strips last weekend ($4.99 at Longos-$4 coupon) so I have something for the cooler weekend meals.
I expect to have less other money for May as a major road will be closing in one section for 4 months of waterworks construction. Since I'll need a hat if I decide to use the other route to get to Terryberry library, it'll be a matter of timing good weather with a hat. Speaking of weather, I'm not liking the forecast. Tentative plan for cutting grass is Saturday but if there is lots of rain, I'll have to wait for Monday. @SassyAshley -thanks for the gas price forecast! I plan to budget $6 for a partial can of gas next time I get some (probably before the Victoria Day weekend). I may have enough for two more weeks of cutting.
