December 2019 Frugal Chatter-finding the light among the hustle

Facebook reminded me this will be the 4th year of my older son doing the Christmas meal. He has everything all planned out. My only job is making sure we have everything he needs on hand.
So one quick trip to the store and I am done. Plan to do some baking today and my mom has asked to go to church tonight.

We have it easy as we are heading to my brothers tonight and tomorrow to eat. Tonight we are taking ham dip and spinach dip and bread and tomorrow apple pie. DD is flying to NYC for a week tomorrow afternoon to visit her best friend and then back here for a few days before second term starts at uni. well out the door at 9.00 a.m first stop bank ,then sobeys had and offer spent 15 get 15 airmiles on fruit and veggies ,then on to the library to get my book and return items -oh and got a flatbread margerita pizza for 1/2 off 6.00=3.00 for lunch today

I went to Walmart at 7:30am it was not dead as usual actually it was very busy. I wanted to buy tp but I didn’t get to that aisle. I bought everything else.

I’m extremely tired I had woke up thinking it was 9:30am. Laying down to get more sleep see if that is possible. Tracy is extremely lazy and she wants to put large couches in her house that definitely will not fit, crazy more like. They’ve been in the hallway for 3 days I am sick of seeing them there.

Good morning! We stayed at the casino hotel last night Free Black jack tournament. Lost! My guy watched end of hockey game while I did that. Then we went in hot tub and pool. Then dinner. Then gambled a bit. Breakfast this morning. All free and I am going home with extra $535!!! Great start to the new year! Packing up now and heading home to wrap the last few gifts then get ready for Christmas Eve dinner/party at my sister and brother in laws.

@greentires4me I think the superintendant or fire marshal could give Tracey some $$$ fine to cry over those couches being left as fire hazards in the halls!

Maybe another tenant will send word to the office and she'll have to make like MacGyver to get them into her place or out for collection.

@Ciel I told staff that they were in the hallway already blocking. The fire exit. So she shat all over the manager about it when they came to tell her to move them. I piped up they been in the hallway for 3 days and the slowest progress ever with your apartment. All you care about is going somewhere at 11am do you not realize that if we have a fire it’s major in the way. You have enough things in your apartment you don’t need anything more. She got angry with me I said go right ahead but you need to learn to move things out of the fire hazard way, and your not gods gift to mankind. It’s not always about you you you there’s other people on this floor and we don’t want like this everywhere.

Edit: looked out in the hallway and they are gone.

Merry Christmas Everyone. I really enjoy hanging out with this group throughout the year. It always give great ideas and inspiration and I feel a lot less weird . No one in my group of friends and family coupons or even really tries to save money. .
